  1. Well he is really their uncle but not by blood. By marriage. Last I read they were talking to the rest of the cast for guest appearances. Can't see anyone of them saying no other then maybe the Olsen's but realistically they only need one.
  2. I can't see that. Trouba notwithstanding, Jets are very patient. Plus they will want to keep the AHL strong. Helle and Comrie in the A next season. Pavs and Hutch on the big club.
  3. To me once you start talking about $200 million plus I'm not really hung up on whether it's $210 or $280. It's a major project that will serve the community for decades.
  4. Absolutely he's behind those two. There was a time when he was ice time leader without a second thought. He isn't now. Myers is his replacement. Better contact and more term. And Trouba is a better defenceman then him too. Buff has a lot of upside but I don't see it working out here
  5. Lawless hinted the same thing. That the players don't want him back Speaking of which. I didn't hear it was H&L said wheeler was talking about Ladd and said "some guys get hurt and shut it down. Some guys don't. If rather with the one that doesn't". Something to that effect. Nice little jab at kane.
  6. The fact they had zero chemistry didn't hell. Certainly wasn't the same natural love story that leia and han was
  7. Definitely gives away a big twist that I actually don't like. Shouldn't have blown the surprise.
  8. Forgot to log in under your other handle? Lol
  9. Still not sold on buff. Too many mental mistakes.
  10. Paper is one thing. Practice is another. Its about Chemistry. And it's not minus Buff, plus Postma. if you minus Buff, you add others. And why can't Armia make the team better? Last summer people would say gee we better resign Jokinen or what, we're gonna go into the season with Lowry as our 3C?? And look how that turned out. Re-sign Ladd. Re-sign one of Stafford or Frolik and you're a better team than most of the season this year. Ladd-Little-Wheeler Perreault-Scheif-Stafford Ehlers-Lowry-Armia Stemp-Copp(Slater)-Thorburn Sure, that 3rd line looks young. But it has potential to be very fast, exciting, offensive (in a good way). Not to mention, what does trading Buff get you? What does trading Burmi get you? So we're going to trade Buff and Burmi and get better players back? Or are we going to get draft picks and prospects? the future is nice but I'm not interested in taking a step back now that the team is finally making some progress. It's the difference between GM's and fans. Fans always want the next guy NOW NOW NOW, because they have seen the veterans play and seen their flaws. Guess what? The young guys are going to have flaws too, and they are also going to be working through the inexperience. The best way to bring up prospects is naturally. Let them be the organizational depth that get a chance when there is an injury. Sure your 3rd line of Ehlers, Lowry, and Armia could be good. But what happens when one gets injured? All your best prospects are already on the roster so now you have to rush guys in or bring in AHL duds. Too young, too fast, is what kills teams. And the Jets are already walking that line. Burni likely isn't going to get you a better player back because his bolting to KHL hurts his value and any perceived attitude problem does too. That's the only reason I've speculated he might stay here is because Chevy likely won't give him away. It could be another kane scenario where the Jets tell Burmi "sign with us and increase your value and we will try to accommodate your request " Buff will get you better pieces back. Buff is buff. But on this team he's third on the depth chart behind Myers and Trouba. He will get back players that aren't.
  11. Malkin is the type of Russin you want. But they wouldn't even take our calls for that. They have a lot of injuries on D so I'm not sure they'd want a D unless it was Trouba.

  13. I'd argue there's no room for Buff right now. Buff, Trouba and Myers are all RHD who need 27-28 minutes a game to be at their best. Numbers don't add up. Unless Buff is willing to go back to forward and be compensated as a 3rd liner, I'd say he's as good as gone. Chevy said today he wants to keep the team together, specifically mentioned Ladd and Buff. Now Chevy is the type to choose his words carefully. But thats the conversation right, where does Buff fit in? He's not the top minute guy anymore. Myers is. Trouba cannot be stifled. He's the number 2 D-man, probably going to be number 1 sooner than later. So when Buff says "where do I fit in over a 6 year contract?". Plus, Buff wont sign to play forward, most likely. I dont see, from the Jets perspective why they would sign him for long term but knowing Chevy he probably would try. But why would Buff sign without some promises. Unless they can convert someone to LHD. When you look at the D, all things being equal, we have an excess. So someone should go...to save the money, get the return and provide better minutes for the other guys.
  14. He's fairly impressive when you speak to him. To a layman like me anyway.
  15. Falls for Padme? If so...Natalie Portman. That's all you need to know.
  16. Trouba could only grip his stick with two fingers. Boy oh boy. Gutsy performances by a lot of players. Ladd apparently kept his injury secret from many players too. I dogged him a bit this season. But that puts it into perspective being hurt since December. And still had a career season in points.
  17. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming I'm assuming Ladd will need surgery after playing for months with a sports hernia, and Trouba as well with a broken bone in left hand. Trouba played with a broken hand?! Wow. Kid is a gamer, big time.
  18. Absolutely. When people looked at the Ducks, they saw a team coasting the last few weeks and saw the Jets playing "playoff hockey" for the last few weeks. Thats why many of us under-estimated the Ducks. They played a very demanding style and this is a team that, in years past, was not used to that and not used to playing a long season. Many warriors on the team. Im very impressed with how many of them took the time to say and write how proud they are to be Winnipeg Jets. it's a disappointing time and I'd not fault them for wanting to get out of town as fast as possible. But you get the impression many of these guys truly are proud to be here.
  19. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming Little: rib dislocation. Perreault: ankle & hand. Others had "minor fractures." 3 surgeries coming. A couple shoulders to look at. 8 guys.
  20. Sara Orlesky ✔ @saraorlesky Maurice believes that there are probably 3 #NHLJets players that need to undergo surgery this off season
  21. Perreault with a high ankle sprain! Wow, that kid is amazing. He hustled and worked hard every single game.
  22. #NHLJets Paul Maurice: Bryan Little and Dustin Byfuglien had rib dislocations; Mathieu Perreault high-ankle sprain. #bn
