  1. Winnipeg got next to nothing rushing the ball last week and Pierce was flushed out of the pocket and scrambling on a number of plays...so not sure they currently rate being underrated. Let's re evaluate this after tomorrow.
  2. Why because the entire schedule of dates is dictated entirely by when TSN wants to televise games. Why were there no Sunday games? The NHL draft televised by who? TSN
  3. To those who called my declaration on Gilmore's injury "obscene" you can take the dollar bet and give it to Winnipeg Harvest. As moniker DR. CFL might suggest I do have knowledge in the area. This is an exact repeat of what happened to him lat year resulting in him missing a significant number of games. The facts are the facts.
  4. Agree or nor Mack and Burke tied their cart to Buck. This is it for Smokin Joe. **** or get off the pot. To start a Goltz experiment this early simply declares you made a mistake with going with Buck. It sends a questionable message of doubt in the locker room. They have literally made their bed. It's like Burke saying he made the right call in not taking the safety. He had admitted enough coaching errors. He had to suck it up and stick up for his decision. If he believes he was right look for more questionable decisions down the road.
  5. Good observation Pigseye. Motion is the key to identifying a defence and creating mismatches on receivers. This lack of creativity and the use of motion again speaks to crowton's in experience in the CFL game.
  6. Let's all dump on Buck bandwagon. All you armchair QBs how do you know if the receivers didn't screw up on some of those "bad throws"?
  7. If holding onto a guys wrist to prevent him from using his arm isn't PI? What is? Even Burke admitted it was PI, he was standing right there. JJ needs to go.
  8. I agree. The tough one is the QB. Until you have identified a true replacement better the devil who know. That is the struggle with the QB spot and why QBs are perhaps hanging on too long in both leagues. Not the players' fault. They'll often stay until someone says it's time to go.
  9. Cavillo already looked shy. On the Buck -AC comparison the difference was the type of pressure. Someone mentioned AC stepping up in the pocket. When there is no inside pressure and pressure from only the outside the pocket does not collapse and you can step up. Montreal had inside pressure as well and therefore collapsing the pocket. Buck was forced to the outside and had to throw on the run. Bombers had no inside pressure AC could step up.
  10. Guess you guys weren't watching the same game
  11. Obscene? Well you can mail me my buck when it comes out sports fan
  12. Sorry all you people that picked Simpson.....strike one
  13. Check the history on Gilmore... This is the same **** as last year.....bet you a buck he pulled his calf like last season and like last season he'll miss 6 weeks at least.
  14. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas. Yes it was PI, but you then make the assumption that it was the only missed call. Why just because it was caught on camera....be serious
  15. When it doubt blame the refs. I game cannot or should not be defined by a singular play. Rule number 1 in coaching and breaking down video.
  16. Rookie coaching decision....again not giving up the safety.
  17. JJ remains the same and needs to go. No run game at all. They go vanilla in the 4th and play not to lose and gee what happens.
  18. Agree bad no call on PI. No run game Not sure if it was Dickenson or Burke on the not taking a safety. Another stupid coaching error.
  19. As soon as a player returns and makes himself available for practice a team is obligated to remove him from the suspended list.
  20. The Hamilton analysis is all fine except I might suggest you compare coaching staffs and see how they stack up, both in terms of CFL coaching and playing experience.
  21. Having a former QB as an OC or HC provides the experience of having been "eyes on" under fire. They have seen what a QB has seen. Others see what the video shows them. Easy to watch video and say you should have seen the open receiver when you have no clue what the QB actually saw from his vantage point under pressure.
  22. By suspending CIS players, they retain their rights, they don't waste neg list spots in Dec. and if Montreal failed to make the playoffs another team still playing couldn't sign them before the end of the season. Montreal has been know to send guys home, not cut them and then suspend them to hold their rights. While legal it is still one of the marvelous ways bends the rules and slaps the league in the face.
  23. The eastern teams have not been a good draw for the Bombers. If they were to return to the west you would get Sask for potentially two home games. People need to realize that the Ottawa expansion draft will be significantly different this time around. Teams will not have the luxury of simply exposing 40 yr olds who are at the end of the line. The CFL cannot afford another failed attempt in Ottawa, hence the modified draft with each team losing a bonafide nip starter to stock Ottawa.
  24. And Stewart went back to Calgary and did what?
