  1. He has to leave the country to go to court. He has to be allowed back into the country and then he has to be granted a work permit. It does not matter if it is in fact a misdemeanour in the US. Unfortunately it is how a similar charge is interpreted under the Canadian criminal code. Then Burke and. Mack and likely the BOD can decide whatever their pound of flesh will or will not be.
  2. Unfortunately one of the mitigating factors in these matters is how recent the infraction is. Border Services is less concerned after there has been a period of time after the offence without any other problems. Like it or not they equate time with demonstrating that you have been rehabilitated and become a model citizen. Hopefully they don't monitor Twitter.
  3. Medicinal use perhaps and with a prescription. This will become an issue with Canada Border Services regardless of what yo, or I or the Bombers think. Hopefully this sends a message to some other people. They know they are .......here and across the league.
  4. I certainly don't suggest you ignore this. It will be critical how the Club deals with this. This is perceived as another example of potential discipline issues. At some point a harder line has to be demonstrated and an example made. This after the judicial process is allowed to take its course and he does remain innocent until proven otherwise.
  5. If you are naive enough to believe that is not a widespread issue in society let alone the CFL then have another toke .why do you think the CFLPA would not agree to texting for "recreational drugs". JH issue will now become is admissibility back into Canada if conflicted of a criminal offence, potential terms of parole and the quantity of the drugs.
  6. If you honour a team it is represents about 55 players , coaching and support staff....etc. it recognizes the contribution of all those that contributed to the success of that particulate year. It is after all a TEAM sport. If you are happy with the format and the selection , so be it. I was simply proposing an alternative to it that would be less selective and less of a partial popularity contest.
  7. 9 Grey Cups , oh really? I also heard the Beatles really aren't doing a reunion tour. While I appreciate you can't include all the teams, it would seem that honouring teams would be more appropriate and would have been an alternative to being highly selective and isolating other worthy players that may have also been deserving.
  8. Cute but if you think that is appropriate I guess that could have been your vote.
  9. I'm not sure this was a well thought out idea. It certainly was a disservice to a number of outstanding players that were not selected. To try and delineate only 4 individuals was a mistake. Perhaps a better idea might have been to select 4 teams that should have been honoured . But as always what is done is done and now the organization is left to deal with any negativity that has resulted.
  10. Cox came into the league as a DH. He was moved to SAM over the last 2 seasons largely because A) his aggressive play is better suited to playing in the box 2) his aggressive play was getting him beat at half.
  11. The difference is Suber has good speed, good feet and good cover skills. Playing DH is a lot more difficult than Corner. JJ gambles too much when you guess right u get picks, wrong and it's 6 against. Hef relies too much on his ability to close and gets in chase mode too much. Similar to Cox. Cox is no longer playing DH for that vert reason.
