  1. I wonder how Vegas feels about that and how a bet is dealt with on a forfeited game?
  2. I’m not clear as to what Mr. Miller hoped to accomplish with this comment? I would think that it is given to move forward on a positive note and work towards formulating a plan for 2021.
  3. Honestly..does it really matter? You would certainly expect the portrayal of a united front, all parties in agreement and working together at this point. What is more important is that that is in fact the case and the process of moving forward towards 2021 begins now. Let’s all turn the page....history is just that.
  4. They better use this time wisely to get everyone united....players...PA and CFL office and owners.
  5. The CFL needs to see this as an opportunity and use this time to formulate a better approach in working with the PA as more of a partnership and not as an adversarial war.
  6. I guess the big question to be answered is the state of player contracts, the CBA and free agency.?
  7. Tough call....no money piss off football fans....give the money and piss off the non sports fans...tough to win that one. I like to think if there had of been an agreement worked out between the PA and the CFL in July perhaps there would have been a better chance of a loan. Perhaps too much indecision.
  8. How do you relinquish something that has never been there?
  9. Last time I checked Trudeau wasn’t responsible for negotiating an agreement between the CFL and the CFLPA.
  10. I guess that is a credit to Walters , O’Shea and the coaching staff....as well as the Equipment and Medical Staff. The individuals who are in constant daily contact with the players. Thanks to them for all they have done.
  11. At some point the CFL and the PA must learn to work as a partnership in co operation. This adversarial relationship has been brought to a head by Covid. It was a smouldering fire that has become a full blown inferno. Season or not there has to be a lesson learned by both sides moving forward.
  12. Here’s hoping that all those that advocate that because the business is football the ends justify the means have a happy, healthy and secure work environment. Have a lengthy and profitable career....lol.
  13. The bigger issue is the list of those who he fired !
  14. Get a dictionary and look up quit and look up fired...no secret hidden meaning. Sadly I know of too many people who were fired under his watch. Ya ya I know your response you bring in your own people. PS no inside joke...I just know victims....not laughing about it either.
  15. I think Big Blue was referring to those who had been fired....lol.
  16. The CFL and CFLPA most develop a better working relationship-partnership. This latest example of what appears to be an adversarial relationship is simply another example of how unproductive it continues to be.
  17. Not sure given the circumstances that you are bargaining from any kind of position of strength.
  18. The last time the CFL sold their soul to the NFL it got into the NFL window BS and the NFL simply cherry picking players. It wasn’t out of kindness or being a benevolent. Big Brother....it was pure business. No thanks.
  19. Actually stating a published date....but that seems to be a problem for you.
  20. A new drop dead date....Friday July 31st.....this is like a cat with 9 lives.
  21. And more importantly how about the mess MLB is dealing with....lol
  22. Thousands of Americans perhaps....not thousands of Canadians....well is this quantity or quality? It will be interesting to follow the government money back and forth. The government apparently wants an agreement between the CFL and the PA before they agree and apparently the PA says they need assurance about the government money before they agree. Other leagues seem to work as more of a partnership between the two factions , why can’t the CFL and the PA?
  23. It would be refreshing if media...all media not just sports media got back to reporting facts and stopped speculating and circulating rumours. It clearly serves no positive purpose on any front.
  24. Yes and he was into car racing and there just happen to be a sponsor there that was interested. Geography plays a huge factor in decisions as does money.
  25. Tell LaBatte that when he didn’t resign in Winnipeg and went to Regina. There have been side deals all over the place Montreal was notorious for them. Wetenhal’s insurance company paid money that the CFL auditor couldn’t track because it was an outside private company. The term is work arounds
