While you guys are at it, why don’t you pick out all the missed opportunities that our opposition missed out on that would have thrashed our beloved Bombers?
    Or is that just football?
    Applicable to both teams...

Because that is not the topic

In that kick off formation Wild is not a returner he is in for blocking. Demski is the returner. Laughing at people saying that O’shea Does not care about returns. That’s his bread and butter he deeply cares about the return struggles. But he won’t broadcast to the world what their troubles are. Think it’s a matter of weeks till Nelson makes his debuts.

Obviously that's not true enough. If it were O'Shea would have insisted on having a much more capable returner on the field before now. That is an area that has been badly ignored, and having Fogg play who is only good at punt returns, and not so much in the defensive backfield is not the answer!

The #Bombers 46-man roster features 5 changes to the 46-man roster. On are CB Robert Priester, OL Jermarcus Hardrick, Cody Speller and Qadr Spooner and RB Timothy Flanders. Off are Dressler, Morgan,Leggett, Rush and Foketi. Leggett and Foketi moved to 6-game inured list.

O'Shea keeps saying that Nichols continues to grade well, and describes all the things he did last year...getting rid of the ball fast, making good decisions etc. What a joke! If that is the result of

their grading system they need a new one. If they keep grading Fogg well enough to stay on the field despite his poor play lately, can't tackle worth shi*T...again they are in need of a new

    system!

yes it was a bad throw, but if he lets it go rather than tipping it up the DB at least had to put in some effort to get the pick. You can't let the receiver off the hook, he compounded the problem.

No way....in a split second he is going to try and catch it, even if it is a high throw or slightly behind...to expect him to just let it go is ridiculous!

Interesting that this discussion regarding Lapolice and Hall has been on going for three years. I think his record speaks for itself. While he has had a winning record the past 2 seasons, not counting this year, his success is really limited. I know that is a contradiction but in reality it isn't.....he is unable to adjust......he is unable to game plan against winning teams on a consistent basis but does pull out a win occasionally against better than 500 teams and becomes very predictable with a lead. That doesn't go back 3 years that goes back to when he was our OC the first time. He took a very good offense designed by Rick Worman and road it for a year then the decline started and was fired I believe the third year he was here. So history is repeating itself. As for Hall well he too has a Grey Cup to his credit but his defenses are old school and out of date. He cannot devise schemes to create pressure, Oshea said as much on open mike in Calgary; he doesn't put his players in a place to gain success.

And Oshea well it has been said here many times he is simply too stubborn to see the forest for the trees and that is a fault not a virtue. Finally some will say we don't have the talent, yet each year we hear how we have improved and how great training camp was etc etc. Reality is I believe we have good talent; problem is they are not being given the direction, schemes, and ultimatums to succeed. Save a few while they all want to win they realize deep down that should they fail, the coach has their back. Not that I am a Jones fan but he is not afraid to trade, sit, or chastise players for poor play,,as a result the players play with passion and determination regardless of their abilities. Hence a 3 game winning streak and us a 3 game losing streak soon to be 4 if someone doesn't push a few buttons between now and Saturday.

As always sure hope someone does but my skepticism overpowers my hope I'm afraid. Good luck though all things are crossed.

Boy all the moaning and gnashing of teeth on here. I am as mad as anyone about yesterday. It's not that they lost, it's how they lost....but take away the gift 14 points to Riders, we have a win, and the tone for most on here is completely different. For many it is always about what have you done for me in the last minute or two.

TSN actually did a piece on this early last year.... talking about shedding the 'game manager' title (I couldn't find it in a quick search on TSN's site... but this evening I'll check my PVR and see if I can find it) , and he went on to talk about how he didn't like being coined a game manager.... blah blah blah... the whole thing was blowing smoke.  To his credit, he played well for another month or so after that piece, but then began to regress.  He was good when he got here, for the first part of last season, but since, has been less than adequate.  It was masked by a winning record however.

That's not the same as having a chip on his shoulder for not getting respect...not even close.

"The Mob" is starting to see it for what it is... poor play, that dates back to the second half of last season.  I called for him to be pulled against BC October 14th last year when he was ineffective. This was a week after a 158 yd passing performance in Hamilton.   Book is out on him, and I don't think it's necessarily anything physically wrong with him right now like some are suggesting... he's always had a chip on his shoulder about not getting respect.  He's proving now that he's never fully earned it (to be considered among the elite).  At this point, he's setting up to be a stable backup, but never a guy who's going to come in off the bench and roar you back from behind with a bunch of points.

He's always had a chip on his shoulder about not getting respect? What a joke! There was one instance game before this and that's it!

And if he's down two scores it's usually like he doesn't even have a RB dressed.  How crazy is that?

Look at all the Bomber losses the last three seasons and the correlation to Harris having single digit carries, and entire 2nd and/or 3rd quarters without touching the ball.  Get behind, go one dimensional, ignore your most potent weapon, lose 90% of the time.

That's not what you said though...you didn't say anything about the 2nd or 3rd quarters or falling behind...

"Lapo has rarely committed to the run in his career as a play caller.  That’s one of his faults IMO.  He makes his offences one dimensional and he’s rarely had the talent to get away with it, and it’s rare to have that talent.  Like even BLM and Reilly stall out without some run complement."

which is not true...as I pointed out Harris nearly set records for rushing and receiving last year, and has a bundle of rushing yards this year.

Yup....that's why Harris almost set the record for rushing and receiving last season

    Which ones?

    Not trying to be rude.....

I ask that, only cause I question that idea. I see it all the time, it may be true, but really, who actually knows.

There are only so many pro football jobs to go around. and lots, probably thousands of players that would like to play. How much choice do most of them really have?

Can't remember the specific names...but I have seen interviews with more than one player who have said they are here because of O'Shea and not somewhere else.

  11. I Think it is BS that they do not try to improve the team. They brought in Bighill, they brought in Andrew Harris, they brought in Chris Streveler and got rid of Dom Davis, they brought in Weston Dressler, They brought  Justin Medlock and convinced him to stay this year, They brought in Nic Demski, they brought in Drew Wolitarsky, they brought in Kienan LaFrance....and it goes on and on.

This is not Walters fault at all, nor Miller. The roster that goes on the field is controlled by O'Shea, and as many have said, and I agree, he is one stubborn dude, as can be said when he put Nichols back on the field at the end of last game, which caused the booing...but he won't admit it...and defends his actions with some lame excuse, about always trying to win. He is loyal to a fault, which is the reason we still have an average defensive coordinator at best.

Having said that...the players respect O'Shea and some of them are here because he is here. I hate watching him get interviewed because he is so damn defensive about everything. Guess it goes with the position he used to play.

If Nichols has a wonky knee, it would explain why his longer throws were off. If a QB cannot plant one leg, that has to take a bit off the accuracy and power of the throw.

So that explains why Reilly is so bad at longer throws because of his wonky knee? Don't think so.

He's a typical one-move pass rusher.  I would not want him on the field as much as Edmonton has to have him out there to satisfy the ratio.  He's a liability vs the run and invisible on the majority of his snaps.  3 of 5 sacks tagging  a QB who's basically on the turf doesn't really make a guy an all-star, except on TSN.  He's getting the numbers from the work of Ceresna and Sewell.

Interesting...so what do you think of Corney?

Also interesting that Willis is lone Lion, two edge rushers from Sask, nothing interior.  Hamilton two DT's, no edge rushers.  Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg pretty balanced, although most of Edmonton's pressures came in last two games.

Hey Juran....thought you said Botang isn't very good?
