  1. You guys know the accuracy drill the qbs do in practice where there are three differently placed tires to throw the ball through from different launching points, depth etc etc. anyway interesting tid bit about buck pierce, I knew the "ball boy" for the bombers back when buck was the qb. He told me 9/10 times buck was throwing it in the tires. I don't think matt has quiet as good accuracy yet. Although pretty accurate on the short / intermediate route I think he has some work on the deep ball to go before he can be in the elite level . Not that I'm saying buck pierce was either. Just a thought I had
  2. Hey guys. Really trying not to be critical and I certainly appreciate all you do to make this work so I can get my bomber fix every day. but the new layout seems kind of strange to me. Maybe it's just my phone but now I have "favourite pizza places" and the movies thread with the blue bomber stuff. Did you guys get rid of the general discussion and just make it all one forum? edit... a little bit of re reading goes a long way. Figured out how to change it back ?
  3. Not to look past Montreal, especially in the cfl when anyone can beat anyone on any given day. But wow it sucks to think we couldve ben sitting at 4-1 after this week
  4. Not a lot of guys like Nik Lewis out there. Big dude but sure handed as hell. He's had a hall of fame career
  5. I look forward to this thread every week. thanks
  6. The frightening irony here (although vastly different) is we started the season last year talking about willy not being able to connect on the deep balls. youre right about Nichols though. He's been good but not on the same level as last year. Definitely flat out missed some big throws so far. But then again the best in the league Bo-Levi has been missing some too. Its still very early in the season though I just think Nichols needs some time to get in the groove. We've got a damn good OL so I think he'll settle in.
  7. There once was a player named Doug brown who was highly recognized all over town he hit like a truck, but couldn't win a cup And now he's got a permanent frown there was once a player named milt Stegall they called him the touch down beagle he tried so hard, to get that extra yard and we still see him on the highlight reals Could go on and on..
  8. So for football forum sake... whos it's a good offensive coordinator you'd go after
  9. Just last week there were posters on here calling our secondary the weakest part of our team. been hearing people call to fire lapo and Ritchie since they started with the bombers. Went 11-7 last year and were 2-1 this year. Let's wait and see how it plays out before we start throwin' guys to the curb. Lapos conservative but knows the game. Aside from first quarters, the bombers have stretched the field atleast a fair bit this season
  10. Reminded me of when Doug berry ( or kit Cartwright or whoever ) called the play action on 3rd and 1 for a deep ball touchdown. cant really remember the details of who caught the pass but I remember thinking wow that's gutsy
  11. Anyone see the attendance for Toronto tonight? reading up it looks like it was quite bad... again. Man I don't know if there's much you can do to get butts in the seats. It's a culture problem and that takes years to fix and still sometimes doesn't work. doesnt look good for the team or the league... bmo was supposed to change this
  12. Didn't read any of the comments yet because I need to post something that really grinds my gears. TSN didn't show ONE Montreal offensive highlight. Not one play. I understand there wasn't much but they still had 19 points. ****** pissed me off. I duno why
  13. Trevor Harris can flat out play... an elite qb in this league.
  14. Can somebody please tell me why our secondary is considered "weak"? Randle has proven his worth over the years and despite injuries his level of play has not decreased. Heath is regarded as one of the best in the game. Loffler may just be the best safety in the league. Johnson although some have picked on makes the roster and starts year after year. Fogg had some good games last year and should only improve. The riders are starting Jovon Johnston... Seems like we have some decent depth too... and with increased pressure from the line we should be okay... knock on wood
  15. Well, I had a dream last night we beat them 40-1... sooo
  16. A matter of perspective I guess, and I know it's a total different ball game in the states. However, I thought the men and women fought for him to have the right to express his opinion however he chooses. I agree however that he did not promote his cause in the best way. As far as his ability, Pete carrol is on record saying that kap is still a STARTER in this league. So there's that
  17. Dude also provides millions of dollars to charities and is involved in many proactive communities and is actually practicing what he preeches. Not saying it's right or wrong but you have people like ray Lewis who killed someone and he's celebrated as one of the best ever. The hypocrisy is incredible. Kaps' a good dude who used his right as an American citizen to display his freedom of speech. I understand it's a business, but he's a good qb, certainly good enough to be on an NFL roster. Just my 2 cents..
  18. So I took in the preseason game with my 7 year old brother. He was on the jumbo tron so pretty memorable experience for him I imagine. anyway, didn't get to see allll of the game but I think I definitely saw enough. ...looks like our boys can play ball. The offence looked great, with all 3 qbs connecting on good throws. Not to mention the running game looking great with a few big runs/ catches from both Harris and Flanders. Offence line opened holes all night and was great in protection. Davis did have a bad " I'm under pressure" interception that was turned over because of penalty, but yeah, the kids got an arm. Made some great throws with great zip on the ball. Both Davis and lefleveur provide some great mobility in the pocket. Nichols just looked like an elite qb out there to me tonight. Slow start but the offence was really on for the rest of the night. Lankford also found a way to be effective, with a couple good returns , a td, and drew some penalties too. I was excited to see what Thorpe had but in his only touch ( I think?) he looked good. lots of penalties tonight and some bogus calls imo... I also noticed John Rush making an impact on special teams. Chris Randle looked good too, but there is something missing with the bomber defence right now it seems.... ......maybe a middle linebacker
  19. Funny, my roommate is about to go get his degree in medicine from Aruba lol
  20. For the record, I spelt my own last name wrong by accident. I assume one of the crucial areas is spelling
  21. Nobody knows about leadership better than I do. Ask anyone, they will all tell you that Cody J Thonpson *puts index finger up* is the best on leadership.
  22. Hence the analytical, logical, measured, gin infused posts...?
  23. Asked my "source" about addison Richards health and to feed me some info. He said " not a chance, bud" so yah, I don't have a source. LOL
