  1. I'm going to challenge MOS on something he said on the Coach's show. He said the centre's snaps were fine. That's not the worst complaint I have with Picard, but it's a start. Picard himself, hasn't surprised me, because I didn't want him signed, but, I was hoping his veteran knowledge and nastiness, would carry him more than just calling out blocks. It hasn't. And I've seen better blocking in a hat. The expectations of the position and the resulting failure to meet them, makes Picard my vote for Picard a snap.
  2. The sooner we sign Simmons..the sooner we can put this matter...to bed.
  3. Insert any party name in the blank spot. There is intolerance and ignorance everywhere.
  4. Walters is only at the beginning of doing his job, but he has started well. He does have to build on what he has begun. That should be continuing now, the rest of the season and the off year. It won't end until we get that Cup. Bellefeuille is a separate matter altogether and presents a whole different challenge.
  5. Fool? Or evil genius?……. …….He can get Simmons back now…for the price he wanted.
  6. Seems to me those on the PR are there for a reason..to learn, and become better for the position they were brought for. That should mean Corey Lewis has to step up and show us what he's got. Otherwise, why the f would he be here for so long and not be a capable substitution?
  7. Hear what Stephen Harper - opposition leader, has to say about Prime Minister Stephen Harper. https://video-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hvideo-xfp1/v/t43.1792-2/11762333_888929004559575_401760476_n.mp4?efg=eyJybHIiOjE1MDAsInJsYSI6MTAyNH0%3D&rl=1500&vabr=666&oh=aacf5e35532788566cc9538218399404&oe=55D2D76D Aug.10 - Government for all Canadians, not just the wealthy community
  8. Brown, having seen this situation up close, many more times than us, should know better. The game was there to be won with just the help that Marve was getting from the likes of the RBs, the place kicker, the short controlled passing game and solid defence. Eliminate 2 mistakes, that were out of Marve's control anyway, and we're not even talking about that last play call. What else could you possibly expect for that situation that Marve was put in?
  9. I'm not going to agree so much on what Brown has opined. You can argue the play calling, cause that happens all the time. But you still can't argue how much of the play book Marve has practiced. He did well with what he had, and I believe MB guided him pretty well. Marve missed a lot, but that's the newness of starting. And how much did his throwing hand injury affect his grip and feel on his throwing hand?...pain killers be damned. As far as the last play goes, that's an armchair QBs' dream, as in "you should have did this or you should have done that." If it works, you're gold, if it doesn't you're blue. In this case, the opinion is Brown's. Mistake Marve - and credit Foley.
  10. This can't be right. The rest of the league has more than 1 defensive TD for sure, the Bombers have one, I believe Edmonton and Montreal have a few. Toronto scored a special teams one on us this week. That struck me as being odd also, but I can only take LaPo on his word. That's the source. But, in same sentence, he did say "of the 8 teams in the league" so he must have left out a valuable piece of info from that tidbit. Just found out the correct stat that LaPo was mentioning about Hamilton. It was wasn't 11 of 12. It was 11 of 21. Transposed. When he mentioned the 8 teams, he was saying - the other 8 teams combined had 10 ST and D TDs, while Hamilton beat them with 11. There is a video of this info. on TSN, but this one is after the Calgary game while the one I saw was before that game, either on one of the pre-game shows or a segment during half time. Either way, I regret the error, but it is still an amazing (Paul's word) stat anyways.

  12. Is Durant 6 gamed?Yes. Okay, didn't know. Thought they had a list for players who were gone for the season. Otherwise known as 6 of one - half dozen of another.
  13. I just watched the game today, and that spot, by the TSN panel, was a great piece of ad-libbing in tune with was going on in the game. And I agree with you, on the LaPo bit. That was the icing. Good on them for having a little fun.
  14. 41% of Hamilton's TDs are from STs and the defence - such as 6 int. for TDs, 3 punt returns for TDs 1 fumble return, and 1 kickoff return for TDs. Of the 12 defensive and ST team TDs scored in the CFL, 11 have been from Hamilton. These are amazing stats, and well earned. The question is...can they come even close to get the same number here on in? That Hamilton defence is good and cocky, but how can you not be, with a 21 point lead in the 1st quarter...2 games in a row?
  15. Unfortunately for you, as TLB has stated, the Riders are no fun to pick on right now...so the TiCats, with the snooty HC, are next in line. (and we still remember the boat - it's an unspoken motto - remember the boat!)
  16. So...you're saying Dieter Brock?No, SLo'gan, I'm not.
  17. I would like a guy who's open to new ideas, flexible, yet tied into the tradition that is the CFL, maybe even somebody who has played and knows how important a good offence is. Maybe even somebody who has ties to the Bombers. Doesn't even have to be famous. Any old Tom, Dique or Kharry will do.
  18. You know, I was thinking the exact same thing. All the pieces are seemingly falling in place for them, and they're smiling and laughing, etc. etc. It's like they didn't learn anything about Karma being out there, lurking, waiting for you to get in a comfortable place. "Remember last year?" Karma asks. "No", answers Austin's-in-power Austin, as he calls a sleeper play when his team is up 24-1.For that answer, Austin better bubble wrap Collaros for awhile. Or maybe Karma will just wait awhile and strike nearer the playoffs..
  19. Strange that a play would happen like that in a year where 3rd down conversions are way down this year. And with veteran personnel. That bloody Marve, with the game on the line, having the bloody nerve, to not have the bloody nerve, to know what the hell to do in this situation. (I should have capitalized all that)
  20. I took another look at it through the miracle of video review. We got called for contacting the kicker when Leggett? got grabbed and twisted/thrown to the ground, making minimal contact with the punter. Pfeffer, saw the play, went pfft, and rolled down for the call. I thought he was dead (I think he was laughing)
  21. Keys to a win - Stellar D, mistake-free STs and a well managed game by OC and QB Bloody 2 out of 3 For the Bombers to have won we said the D had to step up, and step up they did. Tor. rushing 108 yards - Winnipeg - 105 yards Tor passing 168 yards - Winnipeg - 203 yards Toronto 245 yards to 278 total K. Bass 9 tackles - B. Johnson 6 tackles - Westerman, Hurl and Thomas each with a sack and nice pressure again. (Westerman - what a find) Good, sound, aggressive play from the entire D. The Defence did their job. The Offence was a calculated, short-play themed O to give young Marve some options and let him do his thing…which he did pretty well for the most part. The passing was spread out to 8 diff. players and the running game, besides Marve, used 2 guys. Again, not remarkable, but effective. So, for all intents and purposes, the O did their job. Lirim…his punting was awesome and his placekicking should have won the game for us. (ironic) That punt to the 1 yard line!! Then Jake Thomas, for the stuff and safety….good stuff. The Bombers played a decent game in the circumstances, but made 2 mistakes. 2 The Bombers lost, in this game, because the Argos didn't make any mistakes that counted. 0
  22. I don't believe you are correct in this assumption.
  23. We can blame the Montreal organization for this one. Sam has been shown to be a mediocre football player and yet he gets the invitation up to Montreal because, well, he is just a mediocre football player. Bad advice, the first time he was here and shame on Popp for bringing him back. That was asinine and self-serving.
  24. "Nope. I read the posts. Anti-Harper nonsense" - That' s your reasoning? I still think it's the delay that caused the "outrage" (But yeah, I can see, when people found out who caused it, that they would be upset at his highness showing up the little people.)
