I've heard great things about Mangos.. I was choked that when we went last summer to try it out for our first time... the place was rented out for a private party.       Did you (or anyone else on these boards) have good experiences with Mangos?

Yes, it's awesome there.  Better than anything I've had here.  The food is great, it's always pretty packed.  Not everyone speaks very good english, but they're really nice people.

I can totally see the "endorphin" high of being on vacay and trying a wildly popular restaurant or chain.

For Popeye's I used to go to regularly when I lived in So. Ontario and I've eaten it on vacation in other places.

Also very good and did not disappoint, was In'N'Out. Fantastic.

    Those that did disappoint:

Chik-Fil-A - I've only tried it twice and I'm willing to give it another chance.

    Cheesecake Factory - bleh!

IHOP - Not good. Pancake House is much better, IMO.

And there's probably lots of others.

I look forward to trying Chipotle sometime in the future.

Agreed on the Cheesecake factory.  We went once and I was like....what's all the hype about, it's not that good.

It's funny because on Reddit, they're like "oh Chik-fil-a is so much better blah blah".  Even my my boss that lives in Atlanta loves it.

I know that's happened to us a few times.... gone to Paradiso in the States only to realize it's mediocre tex-mex.

Right!  I remember a few years ago going there because my co-worker was raving about it, and I got there and it was just basically crap covered in tons of cheese.

We now go to Mango's in Fargo.  Wow that is some good Mexican food made BY Mexicans.  They are awesome.

I'm not sure Bergen had plastic surgery, I mean I do know that she was a feminist in the 70s (I don't know if she still is) and who knows who she'll thumb her nose at here compared to 26 years ago (I hope we'll see her son too in the reboot)

    I totally forgot about Avery.

I can only think they'll take MB and just her and Newsroom it up a bit but do we want to look at a 70+ Candace Bergen?

I never watched Murphy Brown because of what Candice looked like.  I was never attracted to her.  It was her comedy and sarcasm that makes me love the character.  I can only imagine how much better she'll be now that she's older.

That aside, that's the dumbest thing I've read.  Seriously, you may as well complain that Ian McKellen should stop doing movies cause bleh...he's so old now.  I just watched the Indian Detective with Russell Peters and William Shatner was in it.  The guy is 85 and hasn't looked like he's aged in the last 15 years.  Yeah it's makeup, plastic surgery, etc...  but he looks good for his age.   I'm sure Candice will look fine unless she's had some seriously screwed up plastic surgery.

No reason. No reason at all. This is DOA.

Considering it lasted 11 seasons...depending on how they revive it, I think the odds are in its favor.

Edit: It could end up being a totally different show.  Especially if there's no laugh track, and like Noeller said, being about current politics and social media.  There isn't really anything like that on TV right now.

haha ya me and the girlfriend had that exact thing happen to us when were watching...  we both kinda shuddered with revulsion once we realized that they were eating her pick..

as did me and the girlfriend and probably a great many people..   well played writers!

Well when she started eating the ganglion...and started to gag a little I started to think about, what if it was in my mouth and I was eating a humanoid....I could have gagged.

And yes TUP, I meant Phillipa.

I like the nod from the left Kelpien saying pick the other guy.

I just realized now that you said that, that was why she had to choose the Kelpien.  That is so gross.  I thought she was picking some kind of helper out, and after she chose I kind of forgot about it.  That's just so wrong.

  9. Orville has already started again.

Anyway, is no one going to say anything about the fact that they were eating a Kelpien?  I think I wouldn't have been able to keep that brain down had I been Michael.  I almost threw up in my mouth a little just thinking about it while watching the show.

And why did Sato kill all of her commanders when Michael revealed she was from another universe?

If that counts then every single concert I've been to in my life counts as a brush with celebrities.  But if it's just stand-up, the coolest stand-up I ever saw was in New York at a comedy club, when Amy Schumer jumped on stage totally unannounced and did a new set, 10 feet in front of me.  That was pretty neat.

Best stand-up routine I ever saw was Gilbert Gottfried, performing at some comedy club in Winnipeg in 1989.  It's probably not around anymore.  I can't even remember what it was called or where it was.  It wasn't Rumors, that's all I remember.

    Saw him again Saturday night.

Not only criticism everywhere but a lot of the entertainment news sites have run stories about the backlash.  Someone would have to be living in a cave to think the film has been universally praised except by Morning Big Blue members.  lol

And I agree with what you said about Rian.  I think Lucasfilm over-reacted to backlash on TFA being a rehash and decided to go with something different for the sake of being different.  Rian said hey I have some different ideas and thats what we got.  Also, whether consciously or not, I think Rian felt he should do HIS movie but it was a direct sequel to TFA so he owed it to the story to not tell a NEW story, but to pick up on the plot threads of TFA.  If he didnt want to continue someone else's story, he shouldnt have taken the job.  Then again, when he turned in his story, Kathleen should have replaced him.  JJ should have done all three, for better or worse.  WITH KASDAN.

Problem is, Kasdan didn't want to do it.  Not sure why.  I've seen interviews with him and he just doesn't seem interested for whatever reason.  Apparently George asked him to help him write the prequels and Kasdan said "no George, you should write them all".  Not sure if he saw where George was headed and just noped right out of it.

Maybe he got the same take from JJ a bit and was just like...nah, without Han Solo in it I don't want to write it.  Han just seems to be his guy.
