A real shock to the ol' white privilege there. "I didn't think that there would be consequences to my actions"

Protesters showed up at Southern Okanagan Secondary school
This is embarrassingly ugly, they're actually arguing with school kids.

Part of the bizarreness about the whole Coutts/Emerson situations is that if the 16 armed and armoured felons were in any other circumstances other than representing the nutbar fringe of the right-wing base of the two governments, not only would the premiers be screaming for federal government help, they would be also demanding that the police go in with guns blazing. The current responses are cowardly and hypocritical. I have been in protests at the Lege in the 70's against Candian involvement in Viet Nam and other issues, and there were lots of police around but they were given no reason to come at us, apart from some (in retrospect) fairly mild insults at them.
The lack of condemnation from our premier made the protesters feel like they were and are being given tacit support.  And with good reason.

I think you are right in that there will be alot of regular Conservative voters that will be angry over this.  Will they move their vote ? Maybe. I have an extremely flexible vote that depends on the Leader and the issues of the time.  I have decided I can't vote Conservative Federally or Provincial again until they :
    1- find proper leadership,
2- embrace the issues of the time, not the issues of the previous generation.
3-  can reflect the will of the general population ,
4- can convince me that they aren't willing to sell their soul ( and mine lol ) to just get elected.

Since many provinces have now announced the removal of restrictions in short order and the blockades and protests continue,  it's obvious that there were other reasons why they are there.  I think it's a desire of of many of them to be involved in a Trump/ Maga type movement. That includes all the ugliness and hate that is deeply imbeded in that movement. I find it shameful and embarrassing to have the world watching this. I hope that there are many people moving away from supporting any  political party that is not actively fighting and resisting that movement.

I tend to agree. Personally, I protest voted in the last federal election because I just didn't want any of them but your concerns are probably in the back of the vast majority of CPC potential voters right now. I know many people who would swing back to the CPC if these issues were to sort themselves out favorably. Right now it's hold your nose and vote and many people are hoping the CPC becomes a viable alternative.

I love that the bombers are locking up the "secondary core" of players to two year deals... by "secondary" I mean, behind the primary core, not defensive back field... Nichols, BA, Augustine, Brady, Gray, Woli (probably a few I'm missing)

The arrests at Coutts is up to 12 now. Among the firearms recovered were multiple sets of body armour, high-capacity ammuntion maagazines and even a machete. Nothing to see here. Move along now.
The following is a series of quotes from the premiers of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta as well as CPC members of parliament about the weapons and combat materiel:

So Heather doesn't want JT to use the Emergency Measures Act because things are fine in Manitoba. So the Premier is saying its ok that the border is blocked at Emerson and all the stuff downtown is ok. Idiot. Hope people remember this election day.

Just wondering if these donations are taxable?  If the chief instigators such as Tamara Lich and Pat king have to prove accountability to the CRA on the donated funds they've received, it would shine a light on how these funds are being distributed and who is directly profiting.  With over $10 million being donated and very limited expenses, I believe there is some serious grifting going on which needs to be examined closely by the CRA.  They are costing Canada millions in economic damage without paying a penny of the extra costs, there is no way they should be allowed to get away with profiting from the huge mess they've created.  As always the most effect tool in the bag is the financial hammer, hopefully it is used ruthlessly to smash them to bits.
