  1. Anyone see this little gem from the least biased CFL commentator? Not sure what he wanted - Bob Irving to rave about Dickensen for not exploding at the end of the game? To me, the two games are way different and O'Shea's reaction to the hit in the game was at least understandable.

    2. BOB IRVING TURNING INTO A BIG HOMER: “Knuckles” has been doing the Bomber broadcasts for nearly 50 years and he still calls the games with good objectivity and is not afraid to criticize his home team. But it’s really twitter where he’s becoming a Rockstar know-it-all. He supported Mike O’Shea’s railing against the Roughriders for injuring Winnipeg’s long-snapper with no mention of Willie Jefferson’s cheap shot on Cody Fajardo. And yet no credit for Craig Dickenson who, unlike O’Shea, didn’t explode after his loss or whine like a baby over missed calls. But rather, smiled, shook O’Shea’s hand and congratulated him on their win. The Mike O’Shea’s, Bob Irving’s and plenty of other Winnipeg fans of the Canadian football world could learn a thing or two from Craig Dickenson.

If only I could post a pic of my basement and the sheer volume of blue and gold merch I have.....its incredible!

I'd take ya up on the locker if you dont get any hits. I dont have room for it but I'll make room lol.

Shall do! If I get no hits by Sunday, it's yours!

  3. You could have the players as pallbearers so they could let you down for one last time though!

Since it may have been Buck Pierce's locker - I joked when I bought it that it looked nice but might break easily!

In all seriousness, I was planning on getting a wrap made for the the two sides - something from the late CanadInns era like Khari/Stegall on the sides with a royal blue background. Then using it to hang my jerseys and have a little memorabilia shrine in it. Just don't have the time/effort and I just can't place where I'd put it in our basement!

  4. Hi guys, I am selling a locker I purchased from the stadium sale. I was told that it may have been Buck Pierce's, though I can not confirm that. Locker number is 03 and the stickers on it were there when I purchased it, so you may be able to get someone to authenticate it if you really want to.

Wife and I are decluttering (thanks Marie Kondo!) and hopefully someone else will get some use of it.

I'm located in Elie and you'll need a truck to pick it up. $100 OBO.

    No, I'm in 234.

For the most part, we're a pretty quiet section. We get loud for the defense and chat amongst ourselves but we don't rant and rave. That is, except for this one individual.

He's mostly just trying to get attention but sometimes he crosses the line with his language. I try to ignore it, so that my son does not pick up on it, but sometimes it gets bad. Saturday, was one of those days.

    What row?....

Wait I'm in 233, so I think I'm safe LOL. I'm loud but try to tone down the swearing.

Trades I remember with the Argos :

    1967: S  D i c k Thornton traded to Toronto

1969: RB Dave Raimey traded to Toronto for QB Wally Gabler

1971: QB Don Jonas & SE Jim Thorpe traded to Winnipeg from the Argos

1971: C Pierre Desjardins traded to Toronto for C Bob Swift

1980: DL Ecomet Burley traded from Argos to Winnipeg

1980: S Paul Bennett traded to Bombers from Argos

Kevin Glenn getting traded from Saskatchewan to us went through Toronto.

  7. Anyone know where the Blue Bomber computer wallpapers went off to? I've tried searching their site, but I can only find stuff from 2010. Really odd that they don't have this easily accessible, most of the other teams do and have stuff already for your Facebook background photo, etc.

TSN live streaming. Gotta check into this further. Brings us closer to cutting the cable tv cord, if not for the challenge of getting live sports through the web without cable.

Great to have CFL on the tube again!

You need a cable subscription to access the TSN streaming. You can't even pay just separately for TSN or just their streaming. Otherwise I'd have a much smaller cable bill, it's the only thing keeping me from cutting the cord completely.
