Gainers cart sirens are annoying as ever.
-
There's been some really weak calls at inopportune times. The holding call that saved a td. The phantom roughing the passer that extended a drive.
-
Wow another officiating classic

I went to the Sask, ticats game after the bomber game at Commonwealth, and there is no way mosaic is better than Edmonton's stadium. That place made canadinns look like a palace. Concessions were the crops (basically just popcorn and hot dogs), all bench seating, no hand rails, terrible washrooms, dark and dingy atmosphere. Canada's fans weren't even into the game when they were up into the fourth quarter so I'm not sure why the media always raves about them being the best fans in the league. I wasn't impressed.
-
People here are calling for delay of game because of the ticats injury. Stay classy ssk

A loss here for the riders will definitely make the trip back a little easier lol. Riders next home game is in a month, going to be a tough go for them if they go to 0-5.
-
Glenn's benched lol
-
By 2025 they'll all be sporting the faux hawk
-
Yup, serving up a nice interception.
-
So far the legendary rider noise has been less than impressive. I know they're 0-4,buy they're winning right now and there's 30k fans here. And it's not like they've had the record the bombers have had over the past decade lol.

I've seen so many mullets today, feels like I'm back in 1985.
-
The sirens on TV are gainer in a stupid cart going up and down the sidelines.
-
But they have George and Chick!
-
Can't stand Chick either. Glenn is getting hammered so far.

It's all good.
It's looking like we'll be in section S about 10 rows back. If anyone still needs tickets and wants great seats, calling the Eskimos ticket office is your best bet (better selection than Ticketmaster). Same thing goes for Bomber games.
Also, huge shoutout to the Bomber ticket office for getting back to me (twice) when I asked if they had any spare seats from the Edmonton fan trip (which sounds like it was cancelled? bummer).
Fan trip was way too expensive. It was like $900 per person and being on the team charter you hardly get any time outside of the game (I think it was like three hours at the West Edmonton Mall). I'm renting a car and driving it and it's more than half the cost.
Agreed - I saw the cost and I'm not surprised it was cancelled. That's why I thought they might have seats available for the game only! Haha.
Yeah, I tried asking if the meet and greet would be open to the general public. I was told the next day the meet and greet had to be removed from the itinerary, after that it was only the game and the mall LOL.

Figured it could be worth a shot, anyone selling or have a friend selling decent seats to this week's game in Edmonton? Thanks!

You don't have to stay at the hotel to get this offer. I think the tickets alone are normally $45.

http://www.fourpointsedmontonsouth.com/edmonton-eskimos this is a pretty cheap trip. I also have a great federal government discount and the rooms for that night are $125 for two queens. I will be on this bus so I will see you there if you are taking this option!
Thanks for this - I booked here too, so I'll be on the bus!

Question for the board: Montreal's last challenge. Am I missing something? I thought that coaches could not challenge in the last three minutes of the fourth quarter. Did they change this? If not why wasn't this a penalty?
From the 2013 Rule Book (the one currently posted on CFL.ca website).
The teams are not permitted to use any challenges once the
three-minute warning has occurred in the fourth quarter, regardless of how many
challenges or time-outs they have remaining. If a team is unsuccessful with their
first challenge, they will not lose a time-out.

I'd recommend leaving now for Calgary and turning it into a double header road trip.
On a totally unrelated note, I have 4 decent tickets for sale to the Bomber game in Calgary this weekend.
Sorry - camping this weekend with the wife, so it's definitely a no-go. Can't say that the thought didn't cross my mind though!

100-120 isn't going to get you much of a room, but if it was me, I'd stay on the south end of the city. There's a few nice hotels down there. Both the Ramada and Days Inn down there are decent places, and just down the road from the always-amazing Cook County Saloon. Best piece of advice I ever received about getting tix at Commonwealth: "There are no bad seats..." and it's about right. Huge place, great sightlines. Better to be higher up than too low...
I keep forgetting - I get a pretty decent government discount on most rooms, so it would be around $149ish normally. Thanks for the advice on Commonwealth.

Suitor complaining about the clean hit, their qb was still inbounds and he hit the guy on the side. I guess next time he should just let him hit the qb.
