  1. It's hard to be happy with a guy who has struggled many times this season with putting together a drive all while having great protection, great RB, and open receivers. He's definitely been better during the winning streak but it's hard to get that bad taste in the mouth when he **** the bed during the losing streak.
  2. Chipman would easily of won, might be some issues like Sam Katz where personal interests would of conflicted with being the mayor. I'd assume Chipman would rather make boat load of money doing something else then being the mayor. Plus no matter who is the mayor they'll be in his palm as the city doesn't exactly have a long line of people wanting to invest in downtown.
  3. I merely pointed out that calling someone a coward makes them look bad. Base off this post to me it looks like you are a child trying to yell for a parent to get a sibling in trouble. I'll end my posts about jcon as I believe you got the point (eventually).
  4. Money is king
  5. Almost a must win game since they have to play the Leafs the next night....
  6. I don't think the Leafs had horse shoes, they completely outplayed us for the first 40 minutes. We did not deserve to win last night at all. Some of our stars are slumping big time... at some point they'll turn things around.
  7. It was jcon who called Browaty a coward. Stop mixing things up. I'm merely pointing out the guy is being a sore loser because the vast majority of folks voted no. I suggested it was time to move on. People have voted, time to move on.
  8. He would steam roll Bowman, Bowman only won last term because of the smile and Judy being a ding dong. This year he won because he ran against an unlikeable lady with some terrible ideas and a bunch of complete misfits who belong on the Howard Stern wackpack. (Dennis Diack being the exception). Bowman has very little support from the community he just seems like the safe pick both last term and this term.
  9. If we were playing magical fantasy trades ... I'd choose Masoli, then Harris , then Nichols. The reason I would choose Masoli first is that even when the guy is running for his life he has the ability to throw a dart down field to a receiver. With our much better o-line I think he would have way more chances for running it himself and I think Thompkins and Wolitarsky both see way more balls. I'd choose Harris over Nichols mainly because he also can throw a deep pass and when he's on he's much more productive then Nichols. I'd be scared of bad Harris re-appearing but with our awesome o-line I think he cleans house. Nichols I choose last mainly because with an awesome rb and o-line he still struggles to really excel. The regression he's shown this season he has to be #3 because if the defense doesn't show up and/or Harris doesn't run wild... I don't see Nichols putting the team on his back to win. A game manager only wins if special teams and the defense show up and play big.
  10. Calling Browaty a coward and making an emotional response is completely sour grapes. I'm trying to say jcon was being a sore loser. Maybe sour grapes was the incorrect term to use?
  11. Completely agree, I was listening to 680 after the polls and they made a great point about how in future elections they need some kind of way to weed out the crap candidates. Having weirdos like Ackerman and Woodstock running in the election is almost a mockery of the election itself. If Jenny was more likeable (according to reddit she has a punchable face) she probably would of won. Most of the people I spoke with who were voting for Bowman were voting based on the least crappiest of a crap bunch of candidates. I had wished that Oulette-Falcon would of ran for this election because a fresh face who is genuine and with an open mind would be fantastic for our mayor.
  12. The people have spoken , may this cornball idea rest ..... in....piece (Undertaker voice) Also JCon your comment above is major sour grapes, Browaty would steamroll Bowman if he had ran. The guy is genuine and unlike Bowman he actually gives a crap about the city instead of putting his own image first. Souuuuuuuuuuuuuuur grapes.
  13. Considering we almost won with Ryan Dinwiddie..... I think this team is in a ok position with Nichols.
  14. The test wouldn't be expensive, Bowman has spent millions on studies (without him wanting to publish the results because they were all pro No). Monday it took me 5 minutes to clear downtown and then yesterday 30 minutes both days with no accidents, street work or stalls... if I have to now wait 45 minutes to get home it puts a lot stress when you are a family man needing to pick up kids from day care and then going home and getting dinner ready and then taking the kids out to their activities. My free time is extremely limited and valuable and it's a real piss off waiting in traffic for absolutely no good reason when if the city was smart they could have a proper traffic flow to get people in and out in 5 minutes. You may one day understand if you ever decide to have children and a family because back in the day when it was just me I wouldn't of cared because I had all the time in the world to do whatever I needed to do. I don't think it's just me because the other people in the office with younger children are all constantly on the go trying to keep up with life.
  15. I strongly believe that Downtown Biz and the companies involved at the intersection had a lot to do with setting up Team Open. Almost 100% positive that they were involved. 54 seconds in light traffic... no numbers or real estimates for rush hour naturally. What they should of done (if possible) was to set up the traffic lights at P & M to run at what it would be if the intersection was open for pedestrians. Take a two week sample and with that they can get real numbers on how traffic would be effected. I'm assuming that the intersection wouldn't be running the push button to activate walk sign kind of deal and that it would run on an automatic schedule. Then both sides couldn't make up numbers and with the real data they could analyze.
  16. They push it down our throats ... when we bought our last house the bank and the real estate agents were pushing hard for us to spend the maximum amount that we could. They looked at like we were crazy because I wanted to spend closer to $400 000 rather then $700 000. Same thing when we bought furniture they kept pushing credit cards and buying max amounts. Same with the cars.... A more naïve or weaker person would easily cave in because all you have to do is say yes and boom you can get something that is out of your real price range. The bank was the worst... they kept bringing up that me and my wife had a decent sum of money stashed in our bank account and that we *must* put it towards buying a more expensive house. They said rarely does anyone have anything in savings and that we could get even more of a house if we used our savings and then made minimum monthly payments on the mortgage. My response was that we like having money in the bank in case of emergencies and that we want to save for our kids educations... they made it seem like we were crazy because that's what a line of credit is for. Such a f'd up mindset that is pushed on people....
  17. I know many people between 20 - 40 who merely feel entitled to going on vacations and overspending on big houses because they believe that it's impossible to not have the biggest and the best.... I also see some of the folks closer to 40 and co-signing on loans for their 18 year old kids on 50 000 dollar cars despite working minimum wage jobs...
  18. What is the deal with the massive slump by Ehlers? I haven't been watching to much this season... is the guy snake bit or has his play really been that bad?
  19. FYI you also look like a homeless bum based on some of those PCWAction youtube videos. That is all
  20. Gt is quite popular with the locals.
  21. I'm perfectly fine downtown because I look like a homeless bum.... my wife on the other hand has troubles even during lunch hour walking downtown with her female co workers where they are harassed and at times intimidated. I wouldn't want to take my children downtown during the weekend or after 5 pm, I actually do care about their well being. I wouldn't call Winnipeg folks frugal, I was more so referencing so many other entertainment options with arts, family friendly facilities, plethora of restaurants, unique experiences, PCW wrestling shows etc... It's hard to take a piece of the pie when their is so much pie to go around.
  22. I would assume WHL would attract more of the hockey die hards while Moose would be the family crowds...
  23. Appleton he was fringe making the club this season
  24. To many options for entertainment in Winnipeg... the Moose tickets are dirt cheap and most people I would assume would like to see the young guns in the AHL. The only way I think that they may have an edge on the Moose would be that some folks don't like taking their family downtown and would rather go somewhere a bit more safe. Kind of a stretch though IMO.
