I don't remember in the previous 5 or so pre season camps of this many rave reviews of the import receivers. Usually it was more so along the lines of a guy looking speedy but inconsistent on the hands or someone who looks decent purely because they had some NFL experience.

SJ Green is not done , that being said the stats are slightly skewed as most of his big games were against the East.

Considering many UFC ppv's these days get between 100 - 150 k I'd imagine anything over 100 would be considered a massive success.

I guess we would need Bluto's insight on the reasons. Going to games both in Ottawa and Hamilton, where the stadiums are located and how the gameday feels it's more of a small town community kind of aura. I'd imagine in Toronto if they played in the 'burbs and had more of a college gameday with tailgates maybe they'd have more success attracting people not wanting to deal with the hassle of going into the heart of the city where it's hectic. Montreal has so many places for young people to go for entertainment, they'd really need to follow the Ottawa model and try to get the young people wanting to spend their money to get drunk at the football game rather then elsewhere.

I'd assume Meltzer would be able to get the info out. I'm not sure what would be considered a success or even break/even.

I'm assuming the issue is that Montreal has so many options for entertainment that it's hard to pull people away... it's either this or everyone in Montreal is bandwagon fans who jumped off because the team is struggling? Either way very concerning that they loss that much money.

Didn't Montreal have a terrible promotion where people can come to the game free starting in the 3rd quarter? I'm surprised that more teams in the East have not followed Ottawa's blue print.... make the atmosphere fun and exciting where young people including non football fans come out ...

The guy wasn't sure where to rank the Bombers in the West and that they could be anywhere from First to Fifth. He made it seem like the lost of Santos Knox was a massive deal and that he's not sure about our receivers after Matthews, Adams and Demski?

Trouba is probably the 2nd biggest FA defenseman that will be on the market... he gets you back way more then only a 2nd rounder. Detroit would have to offer a 1st rounder plus 2 prospects at least.
