  1. It's true. That slow developing gadget sweep was a very elaborate way to fail at moving the ball.
  2. It's not the worst move. We all know what it's like to suffer at the hands (or feet) of a bad or slumping kicker around here.
  3. O'Shea can only call for the gamble, it's up to the players to execute. They've done it before. They didn't do it today.
  4. Bombers with D- gameplan and D- execution. A real stinker. Thank you, alcohol...
  5. I was calling for Nichols to be sat down, too. It seemed to me frustration was clouding his judgement. I don't think it would have made much difference in the outcome of the game, though.
  6. Lost the game for us? So all we had to do was put Davis or Glenn in and we'd have won? A bit of a stretch...
  7. anagram for BLEEDIRON, that's pretty cool
  8. You could use the TSN GO app. Just need your MTS MyAccount user name and password.
  9. A coach has got to keep his composure in a situation like that. No need to make a bad situation even worse. I thought I saw Austin give Reinebold a sympathetic look afterwards... if anyone understands how it feels to flip out on refs, it would be Austin.
  10. Corus app is really the way to go. I've never had an issue.
  11. Mr Bennett forgot about 2008 when Edmonton beat Winnipeg after crossing over to the East.
  12. Quite a finish. Enough big plays to keep it interesting.
  13. If the Bombers beat the Stamps to advance to the GC, is O'Shea a better coach for winning with an inferior team? Would he then be worthy of a 4 year extension, by being the best coach in the league? Keep dreaming I know. This team cant possibly beat the Stamps in the playoffs... ...right?
  14. Aww, shucks... poor guys. No team should have to suffer through a QB carousel like that...
  15. You're right, we saw it in their first season when we rattled off 5 wins and ended the season 7-11... but I think I see enough improvement to warrant the generous extensions not just on the field, but off the field as well. I'm talking about things like savvy trades, seemingly strong drafts (more often than not), attracting coveted free agents to a previously disreputable team, improving the discipline of our players (MDA notwithstanding), so on and so on. It takes a willingness to gamble on a 4/5 year extension. I like the odds, that's all.
  16. Walters and O'Shea... a Canadian duo, both rookies at their positions when they started with us. Taking over after Joe Mack and Tim Burke, nobody could have had realistically high expectations for the next couple of seasons as they rebuilt our depth and our reputation. Here we are in the final year of O'Shea's first 'show us what you got' contract, and we are in sole possession of second in the league next to the freakish Stampeders, and a lock for the playoffs where anything can happen... yet there are people who don't think KW and MOS should be rewarded with a lengthy extension?! Our team's trajectory is only going up. My expectations are for the team to show improvement year to year, build depth and bolster the overall strength of our team, and make the playoffs; Walters and O'Shea have done that, and I have no doubt they can do it again. This isn't Swaggerville helping Buck and LaPo limp into the playoffs, it's all facets doing what they need to do to win, gadgetry and all. The fact that there are still points being left on the field in the form of FGs only speaks to how badly we can be beating teams if we continue to improve at certain positions on offense. I'm a blue-goggled believer, I know that... but this could finally the be stable front office we've been looking for. 4/5 year deals sound great to me.
  17. Jeez I step away for 15 minutes...
  18. He certainly makes the most of his opportunities. Has he ever dropped a pass?
  19. Sadly I agree. I'm for sure a Denny cheerleader, but even I have to acknowledge Smith's value in the long run. He's fast and young and has great hands. Denny is only 2 of those things.
