I'd expect an extra American in next week if couture can't go. Maybe even if he can given Gray's struggles
-
Not a classic tonight. Not sure either team deserved to win.
-
MBT's strategy seems to be to stand in the pocket until someone is wide open. Gets rocked a tonne.
-
Toronto looks great! Except at QB
-
Hope we can show that last week was an aberration and stomp them good.

I forgot for a second that we are running 8 NI. I think that makes sense. Taylor should know how to play safety by now. Houston would have to step up to play his spot. If any injuries pop up then we'd have to go back to Canadian safety but NABD. Do you think Dobson is ready? I think that's the medium term solution. It may not be the short term.

I'm not even sure what you could do. Every position group minus the linebackers were not championship level. (receivers were okay). It was the first game though. Getting Jeffcoat and Alexander back would be huge, but it's hard to say when that'll happen. I think O'Shea is going to go with what he has, make corrections, and go into Ottawa with the same team but getting more out of everyone
-
Totally agree. It's not like the same thing didn't have not 24 hours ago. And he draws the penalty

Thats the roster breakdown. This part specifically mentions 7 Canadian starters: Of the 24 starters on a team, a minimum of seven starters will be nationals players. When applied to a starting roster of a team it breaks down as follows (when using the minimum number of national players): 1 QB 16 American players 7 starting national players
-
https://www.cfl.ca/game-rule-ratio/ Not at all what this says though (explicitly mentions starting nationals)
-
Oh man lol. I'd imagine it's anyone's guess until the games start
-
Would it? I thought you must have 7 Canadian starters. Wouldn't removing a Canadian for a QB break that rule? There are no rules about how many Americans you need to have on the field so I'd assume an American would have to come out.
-
I did not know that we could dress a 3rd QB designated as a QB. I don't think it says that on the CFL website. I'm once again confused by the CFL roster rules.
-
If I'm counting correctly we have 21 Americans counting the extra QB so we could still axe a QB from the gameday roster... Seems likely
-
Twitter can be kind of gross if you fall into the wrong echo chamber and you're the one dissenting voice. This goes for sports/politics/whatever. People can be really shitty when they know they have 100 other people nearby that agree with them.

Starting a thread for the non-Bomber games this week. Excited to get the CFL season underway!

https://www.cfl.ca/game-rule-ratio/ Says that the 4 must be specified

I don't think that's how that works. There's roster makeup rules and there's starting rules. DIs are related to the starting rules in that they can come in for any starting American. If you are starting an extra Canadian then they could theoretically come in for them too (would essentially just mean that the American started in the first place) There is a hard cap of how many Americans can be on the roster period (I think 20). Tho you can have less. The DI isn't really an official construct. It just stems from the fact that if you have 23 starting positions (minus the QB) and only 16 can be American then, then there are 4 leftover Americans that aren't starting (DI) Sorry if you already know this and I misinterpreted what you said. This was mostly an exercise for me I also apologize if I'm dead set wrong. Can be confusing TL;DR Ricky Walker would have to be among the 20 American players on the roster, regardless of who is starting.

2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News

Dome man filling the dome. Let's gooo -
DIs: L.B. Mack, Malik Clements, Demerio Houston, Janarion Grant?
-
Maston, Hallett, Alexander, Richmond, McKnight.. Hard to say really. A lot of time between now and Friday
-
McKnight is a second year receiver that the coaches clearly like. He has been hurt yes, but I wouldn't count him out. IIRC the one practice I attended before he was hurt he was winning all the one on one's pretty handily. Looked impressive.
-
There's 6 DB positions. DBs are generally better special teams players. A lot of our DBs are nationals (and will play ST) as well. Makes sense to me.
-
Also forgot Agudosi

Ellingson, Bailey, Woli, Demski, Grant, McKnight, Schoen, BOL. I think it just comes down to numbers. Tarvaris Harrison makes 9
