  1. I would agree. 16-2 is impressive no matter which way you cut it. Argos managed to win some games where they could have easily let overconfidence get in the way. But only playing the other top teams once each and only one of those in a meaningful game makes for a questionable strength of schedule. You have to think that there would be another loss or two on the season if they played Winnipeg and BC a few more times.
  2. Maybe Betts gets the award for the ability to speak French.
  3. At this point we either keep Dru Brown or we get a 1st round pick to trade his negotiation rights. I'd much rather keep him but the alternative is a good consolation. There's going to be multiple teams wanting to go after him.
  4. The book is out on how to defend Ford and it seemed like we had no problem doing it too. Eugene Lewis was a big factor for the Elks though
  5. Parker hadn't been perfect but he's out there trying to make plays. And that doesn't mean selling out for a pick. Sometimes he does bite a bit but then he's able to recover. He's also able to tackle which Rose can't do. He will get better. There is no way I'm taking him out of the lineup when Houston is back.
  6. Looking at the yardage would make you wonder how we ended up with 45 points. Drawing penalties and defense kept the field flipped in our favour. Brady was of course, amazing. But when all of our starters were out, Dru Brown quietly went 7/7 for 94 yards and 2 TDs
  7. Barely did anything. BC imploded. Agreed. Also overrated. Does BC even play the run? I've never seen a DE with less responsibility of contain. He is fast, ill give him that. Allows him to track down a QB after running 15 yards into the backfield.
  8. Maybe. But the NHL season is 82 games long and even the best teams don't show up sometimes. And fan engagement at hockey games is **** tier. Fans play a real part in a football game
  9. My comment about Schoen might still be true but it isn't going to be related to this Bryce Mitchell guy I guess. I legitimately had no idea who was on our PR and got excited that someone was promoted to the active roster.
  10. This topic seems to come up with every expiring contract?
  11. For me I like Jackson and Kelly. Not to say they deserve the award. I just think Jackson has done a lot for us and Kelly could have if he was given the opportunity.
  12. In some ways I see this as a rallying point for playoffs. After this happened the Bombers all seemed to get an extra gear.
  13. Best receiver is out and we are still destroying them. Felt good
  14. Bombers find themselves in a great position heading into the playoffs. Bye week followed by two games followed by a bye week (as long as we clinch). They'll get their rest but not too much rest.
  15. Agreed. Pound for pound we were clearly the better team all game. We still seem to like to give teams points and turn over the ball in the red zone.
  16. Make no mistake - that was a character win by the boys tonight. Never say die. I personally felt like our defense was close at the start of the game. They just weren't finishing on those second downs. My thoughts were vindicated as they started to get home. Collaros continues to absolutely **** the bed when getting into opposing territory. But it seemed like he turned the corner a bit near the end of the game. He is a pocket passer at this point in his career. Sure, you can roll him out on set plays, and he can even run for a few yards. I just don't want to see him reversing field ever again. Made Betts look good by literally running into him. But he still showed great character in never giving up. Brady was obviously amazing. Jamal Parker is becoming a favourite of mine in a short amount of time. My Twitter account gets a shoutout for getting blocked by Ballsy. That's a fairly easy one. But we have to be proud of our victories. That guy really sucks ass.
  17. Seems like the Argos plan to take the fans partially out of the game worked. Sit some guys. Make it seem like it should be easy. Fans didn't seem to want to give it their all. A couple touchdowns to get the lead and it turned into their game. Thank goodness the Bombers never lost their pride
  18. Yep. Lions are less suited for cold weather games than the Bombers. And a passionate IG Field fan base is a huge difference.
  19. Spotting the other team 14 points seems to be his strategy lately
  20. That's where my excitement for Dru Brown eventually taking the reigns lies. He moves around the pocket like a waterbug and can pick up first downs with his feet.
  21. Toronto is the team to beat this year. And again, I really don't see a team that is going to knock them off in the east. Montreal could do something if they had a QB.
