I'm jealous... I have a couple friends going again this year. My wife isn't into wrestling or boats so the chances of me getting to go are slim to none!

  3. Not true. After his pro day, he had interest from a few NFL teams but he wanted something more substantial than mini-camp invites.

Kinda disappointed but good for Marty. Apparently it's the most lucrative deal in ROH history. If he was able to keep all non-WWE doors open, then he's pretty set.

May or may not mean anything but seeing this pair together is interesting...
  7. Thoughts on this? I personally don't care that certain teams are at a disadvantage in this regard as they have the edge in other areas (territorial exemptions, extra draft picks, etc).

The Kenny situation is a prime example of him not being able to adjust. It would have meant changing plans to some degree but they still had the ability to use Kenny like they are with Moxley and Jericho. The way they handled the Elite leaving may have possibly closed that window though.

I'm torn on how I feel about him as a booker. Having a long-term, cohesive vision is great but I feel like he relies too much on the same guys (Tanahashi, Naito, Okada) for the heavyweight belt. They might bring in someone for a short period to challenge (Kota) or even briefly hold the title (Kenny/White) but in the end, he goes back to his big 3. To be fair, they are phenomenal, but it would be great to see new blood in there.

I had similar thoughts but that's NJPW... nothing seems to happen fast there (unless you get lucky like Jay White). This will set-up a year long redemption story for Kota though after going 0-2 at WK.
  11. Add Chandler Fenner's brother to the list.
  12. I preferred this version...
  13. Bluto is the resident scarf expert here, maybe we should ask him?
  14. Danny Maciocia maybe? He was offered the president's job back in 2016 but turned it down (essentially saying his vision for the club didn't line-up with the Wetenhall's) but maybe he'll accept under new ownership. He also recently said he would listen if Wally called about the GM job so it would seem he does have an interest in returning to the CFL.
  15. 100% it's because of the other clubs. Making your pending free agents wait around and potentially watch their NFL opportunities evaporate is not a great way to attract/retain players especially when you see other teams not holding guys back.
  16. Arbuckle can still end up in Toronto if he doesn't like what Ottawa is offering.
  17. Definitely weird. I remember my 1st time there and I was looking north across the river at Detroit and it felt so backwards.
  18. I would have said the same thing about Jefferson when we signed him! Training camp with Marshall and Darvin would be fun to watch... they've had some pretty intense match-ups the last couple years.
  19. I was just looking at the FA list... Evans and Mincey were two of the names that stood out to me the most. Nick Marshall too but the stink of Regina is too strong!
  20. Yep, and while losing Rose & Sayles is a definite loss, Walters can use that money towards picking up a DB in FA. He also doesn't have to worry about the pay raises both guys were (deservedly) going to want next season.
  21. That's a relief... I don't want to see any changes to our current look, well nothing major anyhow.
  22. Re: jerseys. Not sure how credible this is but I saw this few days ago and I am not a fan.
