Walters managed a CIS football program before and done a good job. I know managing a professional football club is a different animal. but Walters sounds like he has a good handle of the current situation and has a established plan to better the football team. Personally, I'm willing to see what he can do as a GM.

You forgot quite a few on the list... Greg Marhsall, Jeff Reinebold There were head coaches who become successful in their first year... like Chamblin, Milanovich, Trestman, Benevides.. some of them won the Grey Cups. CFL experience is key not only on the HC but thru the assistants as well... which we have less with Lapo and now with Burke... In the event that Burke is fired (or possibly quit, I got a hunch he will have a call from his old boss Trestman to be an assistant there, who knows)... and we hired a rookie Head Coach the Bombers should surround him with assistants that have years of experience in the CFL. That said... I'll inquire about Bob Dyce as Head Coach and maybe he can bring Khari Jones here as OC too and he's good friend Bob Wylie as OL coach.

if lapo just made a call to marcel last season instead of hiring crowton. I think he still be the head coach up to this day. or if burke made a call to marcel at the beginning of the season and can crowton, we are not a 1-6 team today.

imo, Creehan is a good HC material rather than a coordinator, a rah-rah guy that can inspire and fired up his team. But Im not saying he should be the next Bombers HC. Burke and Lapo are not HC material but we all know they excel as coordinator.
