I think your D will be fine with Burke, yeah he's not a HC material but he's a very good DC. Plus Emry should be famillar with Burke D. The real big question with your team is your special teams with Jim Daley.

i'll mostly agree with this... except West: CGY, SSK, BC, EDM and WPG East: TO, HAM , MTL and OTT I'll put HAM ahead of MTL. Both teams have a young guns at QBs (Smith/Marsh and Collaros/Lefevour). Montreal will be having a new Offense with Worman while it will be the same Austin Offense for HAM with Lefevour have 1 year playing it which is an advantage. As far as I recall, Collaros was not declared as starter yet.

if Walters can provide Ech's system witht the right people, I think this D will have a chance. And of course, O'shea and Tracey should have throw their 2 cents to Ech also. Afte all, O'shea played the D in his entire CFL career while Tracey authored one of the top D in CIS.

if he utilize a balance amount of his 'unorthodox D' and a 'conventional D' i think it will work to our advantage. as they say his 'unothodox D' creates confusion on the QB if they can keep the QB guessing when will the D use the conventional and unorthodox, i think will be an added advantage. ..just like im confuse of what im saying now...

can you explain a bit that 'rover' position in Etch's D? is it the same to the 'jack' position in Burke's D?

I read it somewehere that Alex Hall is not interested in us because he don't like our defensive coaching staff. I like Keron Williams, he wont likely come in cheap though and we might have good DEs in our roster right now.

His agent said they won't be making a decision until after the NFL Draft. I think he goes back to Edmonton, but I believe BC and Montreal are also in the mix. and the Bombers?

I think we'll keep the pick and take a DL if Lavertu is gone. Walters said the draft only has a few really good players (IIRC he said five) and after that there's not a lot to distinguish between them. i remember in his recent interview, he said that Coombs is a phenomenal and a special talent and the team that will draft him will surely acquiring a very good football player.
