If we end up with none of Bryant, Rogers, or even Edwin Harrison, we are in trouble.

Why would we trade one cancer for another? Kessel would not do any better with the Winnipeg media. I don't think Kessel would be a cancer on this team. He wouldnt have to be as much of a leader here. I think his supporting cast in Toronto is more to blame for the Leafs problems than he is. I also don't think the Winnipeg media is anything close to the Toronto media. They are crazy in Toronto. When it comes to the Jets, Winnipeg media really isn't so bad.

How about Kane and a first round pick for Phil Kessel

Interesting thought but no way they are giving up draft picks right now.

We also saw him make the exact same kind of catches when he was with the Bombers. As you said, his performance was no fluke. People are reluctant to believe a CFL player can succeed in the NFL? What about Browner? jeeze louise Funny because when Browner went to the NFL, lots of CFL fans said he would never make it, all he does is hold, he is the most overrated DB in the CFL, etc. etc.

Maybe the team knowing they are rid of Kane for good will be cathartic and they will have a big bounce-back game.

Bona fide Me First football player too. Pretty pathetic display during the GC & afterwards. #gottagrowup Get used to it. Its the 21st century athlete ...Our boy Toews says hi.... I wouldn't be so quick to anoint him a golden boy. He's not the nicest guy either from a lot of accounts. Who cares if he's a nice guy? The point is that you would never catch him crying on the bench after a missed opportunity.

Two jokes? You have to choose just one.

According to whom?

I feel bad for the other guys who have had to tolerate Kane being on the team for this long. Seems like a grade-A *******

That's true. Even though Kelly had to trade a sixth round pick for a guy the Stamps picked up as a free agent 4 months before.

I think Kane is gone, IMO. When this kind of thing is being talked about so openly... it usually means a deal is imminent. I'll be shocked if he's not gone by the end of tomorrow.

Yes definitely. Unfortunately I'm not sure there are many good options at forward in St. Johns right now.

Since the break: Calgary (4-1-0) 8 pts LA (1-2-0) 2 pts Vancouver (2-2-0) 4 pts Dallas (2-1-1) 5 pts Minnesota (4-0-0) 8 pts Colorado (2-0-1) 5 pts Winnipeg (0-4-1) 1 pts

He can get away with anything? What exactly has he "got away with"??? Can you explain what you mean by that with a single concrete example? The fact is that Chipman has incredibly deep pockets and is willing to spend his money on improving this city, in particular downtown (which needs as much private money as it can get). Of course True North will also benefit... that's how business works. Chipman's not running a charity. Guys like that don't just come along every day. You don't just piss off and alienate a guy like Chipman and expect another guy like him to pop up in his place. He has worked hard for this city for a long time now and I agree with him when he says he should have built up some trust along the way. If Bowman did a full investigation and found wrongdoing on the part of True North, that is one thing. But to suggest wrongdoing simply because he is "confused" by the project... that is downright irresponsible.

A $400 million project that may be scrapped because Bowman is too inexperienced to get all the facts on the situation before spouting off in the media. Unbelievable.

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. Chipman's support of Bowman is no secret. You're attacking him based on semantics.

Must watch for anyone interested in this ongoing story. Press conference link: http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/True-North-chairman-to-speak-to-media-today-290810601.html

Not to mention that both ended the season on injured reserve. Sometimes those players get squeezed out due to the number crunch when they get healthy again. Especially fringe players like Bilukidi. I'd be shocked to see either one here next year, and if we do it won't be until mid-season... and that is only if Bilukidi gets cut before the NFL season begins. If he gets cut mid-season I believe he will wait until at least 2016 to see if more offers come in.

I've had enough of Kane. I don't know what caused the healthy scratch but I have enough faith in Paul Maurice to believe Kane probably deserved it. But forget the off-ice stuff. Our premier, 6 million dollar sniper is on pace for yet another sub-20 goal season. That will be 5 out of 6 seasons in the NHL now. What are we paying this guy for??

I don't see any pending free agent NI OGs who would be significant upgrades over Greaves/Neufeld/Goossen. Wojt or Eppele could potentially be major upgrades but there are injury concerns. Of course there are injury concerns with Neufeld as well.

"...no, I mean they're BIIIIG...I mean, I look at them and go 'oh you've really let yourself go'..." One of my all-time favorite stand-up acts of all time! Best....RIP... Trying to place that quote and it's bothering me now. Is it the big fat guy who was getting mugged on the Seinfeld finale?

Don't say that!! Don't say that!!!!

They were not playing overly great prior to the All Star break. I know people are embracing the "it was the break" narrative but you could sort of see a tumble coming. They were winning, so it was easy to overlook. But its not just the break. That's true, I agree.

Thank you. This helped me figure it out and I was able to download the updates and roster. Ran off a 5-0 record as the Jets to start the season even though Hutch seemingly sucks in this game. Seems to me the quality of goalies in NHL 15 is entirely based off size. The biggest goalies are the best ones.
