Do players get paid for bye weeks?
-
Morley really tailed off in the second half of the season. Blocking got worse, snaps got worse (although I don't think he ever botched one so bad that it went over Willy's head or anything). I would have given MOL to Chris Greaves, he was by far our most consistent OL. Fine with the Willy pick, he was our MOP without question.

Norris was not taken off our practice roster. We released him, along with the rest of our PR players. And then Montreal signed him as a free agent. Nothing nefarious going on here, I'd wager no one forced us to release our PR players before the actual end of the season, we probably did it to save money.

This has got to be a joke. I can't believe how clueless some Jets fans are.

I'm wondering if we will bring back Kris Robertson for camp next year. He has had a great season in CIS, tied for second in CIS (number 1 in RSEQ) with 5 interceptions including 2 returned for TDs. He didn't last long in camp this year but maybe he was still getting over his ACL tear. With our lack of Canadian depth I don't see why we wouldn't bring him back.

We need a way to be conservative without adopting the whole "Gays shouldn't be allowed to marry, abortion should be illegal, I have a right to my guns dammit, the Christian God is the right God" mantra. I agree with many conservative perspectives but then they go spouting that type of thing and it just doesn't allow me to vote that way. I suppose "social liberal, fiscal conservative" is what I'm looking for, and I feel that political parties just don't represent me these days.

Pavs has been great but he's had great stretches before. I hope he can keep it up.

Tide goes in, tide goes out. Can't be explained.

Starting 3 Canadian receivers next season?
Atomic replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Kohlert had a good year. He is currently 3rd among Canadian receivers by yardage, behind only Fantuz and Bagg. -
The Brohm pick could be anywhere from a second to a fourth round pick. I'm not sure about the Portis pick.

Once the Bombers are out, I don't even watch anymore.

He is too loyal to his players. He wants the guys who were there on day 1 to be there at the end of the season and he gives them lots of chances to do that. Hopefully he won't be as unwilling to make changes to the roster from this year to the next.

I hadn't heard of him until this, although I was aware of Moxy Fruvous. King of Spain

Sorry but this statement: "I totally accept why many victims dont come forward." does not work with this statement: "But ultimately, when someone says "Well I would have come forward but I thought it would go nowhere or I'd be harrassed" then the answer is, well, you cant really complain then." The second statement shows that you actually don't accept why many victims don't come forward.

Scheif's been absolutely snakebit though. He generates plenty of opportunities. Hopefully it starts clicking for him. He should have ten points already. No argument here. He'll get hot eventually.
-
Anytime someone hears a stat that discredits their obviously ridiculous opinion: "Well that's the most overrated stat of all time!"
-
Kane back tonight. Should help a lot. Moves Perreault back down to the third line and Thorburn to the 4th (thank god...). Jets only have one goal from their bottom-six thus far and the Scheifele line hasn't been all we've wanted it to be... hopefully Kane can stay healthy for awhile.

Willy cost us both of the games here against you guys with terrible game crushing interceptions. My biggest concern with Willy is the fact that he regressed as the season went on. And with a different QB we may not have even been in the game at all. Easy to point the finger when it comes down to one play but it's obviously not that simple.

You missed the point of Melissa's post. She is explaining why everyone "knew" but didn't say anything. And I personally think she did a great job of getting her point across. Also keep in mind that she is very active in this subject matter, having been a victim of domestic abuse herself. That is, if we are speaking about the same post. I am referring to her blog: http://www.nothinginwinnipeg.com/2014/10/do-you-know-about-jian/

We haven't had a QB play in as many games as Willy since 2008 Sometimes from injury but mostly because they were all too terrible to hold on to the job. And Willy was durable and good enough to hold on to the job. Do you get it? Can you follow? Should I draw a diagram?
-
We haven't had a QB throw for over 3500 yards since 2008. I feel like we should maybe stick with this one for awhile, even if he isn't as perfect as everyone seems to expect him to be.

How many complaints to mods have you had to make? Often when I disagree with someone's opinion and they have said something remotely offensive I will report it to have their post deleted.
-
To add to Mike's point about reporting, it is actually quite effective. I know Rich has responded quickly any time I have filed a legitimate report.

Every fan base has every type. Lose and you see more negativity, win and you see more positivity. Look at the Rider fans. Even one year removed from a Grey Cup, some fans want to fire everyone. It's just the way some people are. Telling people to quit being so positive or negative often has the opposite effect that you desire... pushing them further in that direction. Sometimes I think we could have better dialogue it we were anonymous... but that would take some of the fun out of it. God bless sports.
