I find it a little annoying when the crowd is like this, I dislike the NXT crowds and this is what it reminds me of. But I bet it's a blast if you're there.
Vince / WWE would never ask most wrestlers to do that.... it's different when you're the owner's son. It's not like Vince forced him to come back and do it. Shane obviously wanted to do it. So why stop him? It's not like he's going to sue the company.
Just for fun, what would you do with them? I could see them being similar to the Shield when they came in, just coming in and causing a ruckus.
Or maybe we get a feud between them and Social Outcast
There is still room for the huge guys if they can wrestle. The Kevin Nash type. Colin Cassady for example.
But fans definitely don't buy in to the Strowmans and Great Khalis.
Nothing wrong with being a mid-carder. The WWE needs them as much as it needs top guys. Someone has to get in the ring every night. Balor puts on a good show in the ring and people have latched on to his entrance and character. Make no mistake, when he finds his way to the main roster it will be a huge pop. I also believe Neville would have been in the IC title picture if he hadn't got injured. If he wasn't ugly as the bottom of a shoe he might have top-card potential.
I like the paint and such. It's nice when guys have some character. I get so bored with the guys with no gimmick.
I was watching Mick Foley on the Stone Cold Podcast and he relayed something he was told when he was much younger... if you can't be BETTER than everyone, then you have to be DIFFERENT. Which is why he came up with the Cactus Jack character. Bland guys like Drew Macintyre and Evan Bourne all fade into obscurity because there is no reason to care about them.
The docs were annoying but Joe was leaking quite heavily. I think they would have left it alone if it hadn't happened so early in the match.
Couldn't agree more on Baron Corbin. I don't see the appeal there.
As for Wrestlemania having to top that NXT event...
Joe is the consummate professional. Plays a good heel and consistent in the ring. That's why I think NXT will want to hang on to him. He can have a bigger impact on that product than he ever would on the main roster, where be would probably just be stuck in the League of Nations or something similar, never really making it anywhere.
Meh. The tag team match was average at best. Neither team will ever be main roster material. Gable has singles potential though.
Same with the women. Bayley will be a mid card diva, Asuka I'm not sure but she needs a lot of work still... Lots of potential.
Not sure about Corbin or Austin Aries either. Good wrestlers but probably nothing more than US Title competitors, maybe not even that. Samoa Joe might not ever make it out of NXT. Balor's character and moveset need work but I see him as an IC title competitor in the near future. Maybe WWE title challenger but I'd be shocked if he ever got to the level of actually holding that title.
Zayn and Nakamura were BY FAR the highlight of the night.
I believe the guy attacked Scott Hall with a gun and Scott wrestled the gun away from him and shot him in the head. I think he tells the story on that E:60
