If Harris was mad about being underused last season, why would he possibly sign on for this arrangement? That would seem like a poor allocation of cap space.

I don't remember Harris being very good last year. His attempted decapitation of Cotton is the play that sticks out in my mind. Missed a kill shot and gave up an extra 20 or so yards.

If we signed Bourke I'd want him to play LG. He could extend his career by moving inside, like Makowsky did in Sask. He's not better than Bryant and he'd cost way more. So basically I don't think he's coming here...

I'm not sure I believe that. I can't imagine he would meddle in a decision that far down the priority list. I think Sportsnet just really thought young Canadians would relate to fitted suits and pointy shoes.

Lawless has friendly interviews with Bettman b/c he doesn't ask questions that might upset him. MacLean asked tough questions that pointed out some problems with the NHL. Bettman never seemed to enjoy that.
