Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
We still have several well paid pending free agents. They can’t all be coming back. Willie, Vaughters, and Stan are well over $500k combined. I don’t think any of them are essential anymore. Thomas, Wilson, and Tony Jones can all be replaced by younger and cheaper guys. Add the marketing money and the rising cap and we should be fine to add a few good fas.

Thank god we don’t play the Riders five times again.

Garrett would be in prison for manslaughter if the helmet had connected on that swing.

25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
Depends what we do with the rest of our roster and who our Canadians are. We need to play them somewhere. If we want better Canadians on the ol or at rec we’ll have to pay through the nose for them. We’re in some trouble right now with our Canadians. Only two of them were good last year and they’re both fas looking for raises. We really need to hope our young lbers can step up and we hit a home run in the draft.

Als driving up the market. Huge cash for a receiver with injury problems and a guard. Definitely time to let our Cdn linebackers on rookie deals play, bc fa Canadians are getting paid.

Haven’t you been advocating to let Oliveira walk over money?

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
I disagree that the drop off from Oliveira to Petterson is worse than Demski/Philpot to Corcoran. Philpot has averaged 11 games over the last three years, much worse than our guys. If he came here, stayed healthy, maintained his pace, and became a career long Bomber it would be amazing. IMO the odds of that happening are low.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
Philpot will likely get close to Demski money and misses a significant chunk of every season. How is that better bang for the buck?

25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
He’s not under the radar, although 3Down only had him ranked 33rd on their fa list, but I’d love to see Keesean Johnson here. Decent size and is always open. 1,900 yards in 28 CFL games. Clarke Barnes is another receiver I’d like. Would be a big upgrade as our 2nd Cdn rec.

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
Speaking of extra blockers, there’s a decent TE (Rohan Jones) in this draft who might be worth looking at. I’d rather use a guy who can potentially make a play than adding additional olineman.

I think you can when the cbs and safety are on rookie deals.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
One of the lowest points of my Bomber fandom was the game he played for us. I was literally the only person left in my section at the end of that game. Googled his Bomber stats: 8 of 25 for 91 yards and 3 picks.

I would have been ok giving either of our qbs with all of their fingers a chance to finish that game.

Any idea why that happened? Academically ineligible? The Rifles signed Dallas Sims this year. Another local kid that went to Old Dominion, then came home but I never heard why. I assumed grades. He never ended up playing for the Rifles either, just seems to be out of football now.

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
In 2021 second highest paid made approx 71% of Harris money, third highest was just over half. Ouellette made approx 68% of Oliveira’s salary. 3rd highest was approx 58%. So different, but not by much. *figures per 3Down

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
Collaros was third this year behind Rourke and Kelly. He was fourth in 2021. Starting qb & rb were 12% of cap in 2021 and 14% this year. Not that different. Strangely enough, or fb in 2021 was the third highest paid rb (Mike Miller).

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
Was Harris not the highest paid rb in the league when we won back to back Cups?

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
It’s hard to get too excited about anybody until closer to the date when we know who’ll be available. With all the one year deals, there are lots of good players that are potentially available.

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
That’s fair, BO really is our only legitimate star. I was thinking him and Demski, but Demski’s getting old and injury prone. I believe that as a general rule though.

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
We retool by not paying Logan, WJ, Bryant, Vaughters, etc. Pay our stars and replace the old guys through scouting.

Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving?
Canadians are the highest paid players at almost every position in the league. That’s just how it goes. Almost all of them can be replaced effectively by a cheaper American, but then you’re stuck using weaker Canadians. Id rather pay guys like Demski and Oliveira and have to use cheaper Americans elsewhere. Guys like Logan ($114k) are the mistakes we need to avoid.

Mike Riley is in his 70s. I’ll go out on a limb and predict he won’t be our coach next year.

That’s bullshit. Play should have been over when he went backwards.- Bombers @ Birds: ESF GDT
I’d go for that if I was the Als. - Bombers @ Birds: ESF GDT
