  1. He’s ok. I agree he fights with his words, and I don’t love it that he calls guys by their first name so often. He’s likeable though, and definitely knows what he’s talking about.
  2. I’m sure this was discussed, but that was a bit of a mess by O’Shea at the end of the first half wasting the timeout. I assume he thought the clock wouldn’t run after an injury.
  3. Bombers have a tough history with first start qbs. This guy doesn’t seem like a great athlete, so hopefully we can get to him. Put a defensive halo around Snead and there’s not much else for him to throw to. Rambo’s decent, Spieker’s just ok, and that’s about it.
  4. I think it’s probably true that they really like Eli as our 6th ol. If they don’t see him as a significant upgrade at C, which appears to be the case, it wouldn't make sense to make that change. To 17to85’s comment, we don’t have to cut him if he can’t take the starting C spot. A good 6th ol is still important. I’ve been an offensive coach at the high school level, and in my experience I’d rather play a centre I trust to make every snap rather than a guy who might be better physically but whose snaps can be an adventure. I don’t know for sure that’s the case here (trust), just a possibility.
  5. The wedge on 2nd & 3 almost broke me as a fan. I was ready to turn in my O’Shea fan club card.
  6. I get the point you’re trying to make, but that’s pretty creative math. If you start from the 2023 Grey Cup, we’re 16-13 playoffs inclusive.
  7. lol, this is such a fan site thing to say. Groupthink has made people believe he’s the single biggest problem this franchise has ever faced.
  8. Clercius was the guy who let Moncreif walk past.
  9. No idea how to draw up intermediate routes either. We have to be dead last in the league in completions in that range.
  10. Different route. OPI on Rhymes was close.
  11. We’re lucky Calgary didn’t challenge. Looked like an obvious pi/illegal contact on Vaval on the crosser.
  12. Collaros saw a perfect pocket and decided to run into a sack.
  13. Jones literally broke Bonds’ ankles with that juke.
  14. We need to use Wilson going forward.
  15. Chemistry matters on scramble plays; knowing what each other are thinking when things break down. A vet like Mitchell shouldn’t have a problem figuring it out with Collaros pretty fast. It’s not like putting Mitchell in is breaking up a Jones-Stegall type of connection. All he has to do is out-produce Corcoran…
  16. Fajardo was a three year starter in Saskatchewan before moving to Montreal, not a career backup. Won a lot of games there. In what way? Getting old and having a lot less talent around him is what’s rearing its ugly head.
  17. They used to get into it on the radio in O’shea’s early years when we were losing. I definitely don’t think they go out for beers after games.
  18. On the same drive we were so conservative we went qb sneak on 2nd and 2, then threw a fade route inside the 10 to our smallest receiver. That’s some crazy business lol
  19. The blocking on Vaval’s kickoff td was perfect. The overhead view they showed at the stadium let you see how perfect of a tunnel they made. The punt td was 90% Vaval. Isolating your 5’8 receiver against a 6’2 defender for a deep ball in the endzone was unbelievably stupid. Add in the game situation and it becomes a fireable offense. Good coaching by the Argos moving Coxie out against Bond and kicking to Cooley. Pretty questionable coaching when they tried back to back handoffs from the goal line.
  20. I’d take Rhymes. Sterns and Brooks are basically the same player. Same age, same size, same numbers. Only difference is Brooks is in a better offense. Jones is the kind of guy this site would be complaining about us not trying to upgrade from. Old and just ok.
  21. Corcoran for Case might be an upgrade. Case dropped as many as he caught. Corcoran can at least be a possession receiver, plus he allows for another American on the roster somewhere else. I like what we’ve done with the D. The more Griffin the better.
  22. They’re the definition of average, and that’s coming from my sources.
  23. Those are two opposite ideas, you don’t have a lot of control if you have to toe the line. @JuranBoldenRules spelled it out pretty well in a post in some other thread. We went from four (and sometimes five) man lines with heavy rotation under Hall to three man fronts with little rotation under Younger. Pretty clear Osh let each of them run the D as they saw fit. It also seems clear that after two poor showings against the Stamps some changes were made. No idea if it was forced or Younger’s idea, but it’s a good sign it happened.
  24. Looks like he got that ball rolling last week. The dl usage changed fairly significantly after two bad performances.
