  1. Chemistry matters on scramble plays; knowing what each other are thinking when things break down. A vet like Mitchell shouldn’t have a problem figuring it out with Collaros pretty fast. It’s not like putting Mitchell in is breaking up a Jones-Stegall type of connection. All he has to do is out-produce Corcoran…
  2. Fajardo was a three year starter in Saskatchewan before moving to Montreal, not a career backup. Won a lot of games there. In what way? Getting old and having a lot less talent around him is what’s rearing its ugly head.
  3. They used to get into it on the radio in O’shea’s early years when we were losing. I definitely don’t think they go out for beers after games.
  4. On the same drive we were so conservative we went qb sneak on 2nd and 2, then threw a fade route inside the 10 to our smallest receiver. That’s some crazy business lol
  5. The blocking on Vaval’s kickoff td was perfect. The overhead view they showed at the stadium let you see how perfect of a tunnel they made. The punt td was 90% Vaval. Isolating your 5’8 receiver against a 6’2 defender for a deep ball in the endzone was unbelievably stupid. Add in the game situation and it becomes a fireable offense. Good coaching by the Argos moving Coxie out against Bond and kicking to Cooley. Pretty questionable coaching when they tried back to back handoffs from the goal line.
  6. I’d take Rhymes. Sterns and Brooks are basically the same player. Same age, same size, same numbers. Only difference is Brooks is in a better offense. Jones is the kind of guy this site would be complaining about us not trying to upgrade from. Old and just ok.
  7. Corcoran for Case might be an upgrade. Case dropped as many as he caught. Corcoran can at least be a possession receiver, plus he allows for another American on the roster somewhere else. I like what we’ve done with the D. The more Griffin the better.
  8. They’re the definition of average, and that’s coming from my sources.
  9. Those are two opposite ideas, you don’t have a lot of control if you have to toe the line. @JuranBoldenRules spelled it out pretty well in a post in some other thread. We went from four (and sometimes five) man lines with heavy rotation under Hall to three man fronts with little rotation under Younger. Pretty clear Osh let each of them run the D as they saw fit. It also seems clear that after two poor showings against the Stamps some changes were made. No idea if it was forced or Younger’s idea, but it’s a good sign it happened.
  10. Looks like he got that ball rolling last week. The dl usage changed fairly significantly after two bad performances.
  11. I hope Oliviera/Peterson get 25+ touches in this game. This ol can still get things done run blocking and we need to ride that on Friday. The only other options to bring on the roster are Cobb and the guy we signed last week. It’s gotta be now or never.
  12. Pretty big moment for Streveler on Friday. Hopefully we get week 1 Streveler when he’s getting starter reps in practice. Pretty sure Lofton is ready to play.
  13. I think Hogan’s style of offense would work better with a mobile qb. For the most part, I’ve liked the playcalling with Streveler at qb, but the problem is that Streveler isn’t very good. He misses easy throws and isn’t very mobile anymore. I don’t like either of our qbs anymore, but at this point I probably would go with Streveler and hope for the best. Moot point however, as Collaros isn’t going anywhere.
  14. Schoen getting healthy and Wilson coming back from the NFL would be two pretty big in-season improvements to the group.
  15. Maybe they can let him run something other than mesh.
  16. Looks like Fajardo drops his eyes when he sees pressure. Ol was overmatched, but some of the blame for those sacks is in him.
  17. A lot of good luck on the last couple plays for the Riders. Looked like a catch, then should have been a roughing (not contacting) the kicker. Killam looked like he didn’t even consider challenging the call.
  18. Not a great throw by the qb and the receiver didn’t help him out. That was on the players.
  19. We’re just looking for things to complain about if we’re going to pine for Garbutt’s return. He’s just a guy. The other two former Bombers on the Ticat line would help us a lot more. Fox is an actual NT and Sayles is just a good player.
  20. I think he’s been good against the run, but nobody is generating any pressure.
  21. Did he play again after that cheap shot? If he did, that’s a bad decision by the coaches. Can’t have your vets running around trying to hurt guys at the end of a blowout. Really bad message to the rest of the team. &nbsp Discipline has been a problem too often this season.
  22. I’m not big on him as a receiver, but do think he can be at a decent returner for us.
  23. Two of his falls were from him trying to contort his body to catch a ball thrown behind him (td & pick). He had a nice 30+ yard return. The last two kickoffs(iirc) were popped up and fairly high and short. Don’t think we started inside our 35 with him returning.
  24. He’s Canadian and we have nobody else better available. I agree he plays too much. Are you really trying to compare the amount of time Vaval takes up on this site to Thomas? I think everyone agrees Thomas isn’t a starter, it’s the volume of the posts that is tiresome.
