This is quite the thread...I think the most amazing thing is the number of posts that WEREN'T deleted......

Blue Jays
In limited time, sure.....I'd really hoped for a starting rotation role for him last year and post some solid numbers doing so. Again, he's young, so the middle-reliever spot was good for him to grow, I think. Hopefully he shows well this year!

Blue Jays
I'd had high hopes for AS going into last season, and really thought he was going to be a breakout star, but he had a rough spring, didn't earn a starting spot, and then saw limited duty out of the 'pen. I'm glad he earned his way back into the rotation this year. He's young yet...has time to get seasoned.

I'm excited to see what Tulo can do with a full year on this team...

2016 Draft Standings
It's actually a spin on an idea that Shane Doan had: When a team is mathematically eliminated, the role is reversed and they need to earn as many points as possible before the end of the season. Whoever earns the most after being mathematically eliminated gets the improved odds or whatever...

It's such a hipster take on things. I love DB97 as much as the next guy, but his "cool guy" negativity is beyond tiresome now...

Interesting....curious if it's as STC, or if MOS is keeping that title, and hiring this guy to do the day-to-day stuff...

Blue Jays
Key here was Stroman looked solid in the start. No true "Ace" on staff, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of production they can get out of this 5. If the bats are as hot as last year, they should be able to out slug everyone, as long as the arms can keep it under 5 or 6...

Game 78 : Blackhawks @ The Hindenburg
I'm a big Hawks bandwagoner because of Toews. Also my violent hatred of Vancouver helped amp up my love of the Hawks over the last decade.

Keith gets the benefit of the doubt because he's maybe the best defenseman in the league. Certainly Top 3.......is he dirty? **** yeah...but he's also a hell of a hockey player.

Game 77 : Senators @ Nightmare at 20,000 Feet
The Code doesn't say anything about avenging a good clean hit. If it's noticeably dirty, then you beat a guy's ass. But when your guy is admiring his pass and gets knocked the **** out, that's on him.
-
Game 77 : Senators @ Nightmare at 20,000 Feet
If a big guy runs into a little guy, and is physically incapable of avoiding his head (Pronger Physics) that should be a clean hit, no call. But it isn't. Because everyone's a ***** now. And Crosby is by far the worst player in the league for running around with his head down.

Game 77 : Senators @ Nightmare at 20,000 Feet
Stone with his head down....gets destroyed. Guys need to be taught to play with their head up. All the "Dept of Player Safety" bullshit is trying to take away big hits, and making it easier for guys (Sid, most famously) to play with their heads down the majority of the time. You have to be aware on the ice...head on a swivel at all times. Glad there was no penalty of any kind on that play, but the fact that Ottawa tried to jump Buff immediately after is ridiculous...

Herb Zurkowsky: CFLPA President Scott Flory May Be In Trouble With Rank & File Due To His Lack Of Action Over Mandatory Drug Testing
One of the things in the HZ tweets, before being deleted, was that Broulliet (sp) specifically wanted players tested for HGH...

Herb Zurkowsky: CFLPA President Scott Flory May Be In Trouble With Rank & File Due To His Lack Of Action Over Mandatory Drug Testing
Regardless of Zurkowsky's tweets, Lawless reported on this over the weekend. Said new Bomber Jeff Keeping is going to be challenging Flory for the job.

I don't understand where this "The Bombers are cheap!!11!" thing comes from now, when Wade has shown that he's more than willing to spend money on EVERYTHING. This isn't the Cal Murphy days anymore where guys sometimes had to buy their own equipment. That said, we're still a taxpayer-funded organization, unlike the exceedingly wealthy Calgary Stampeders, who can do whatever they want.
