  1. We aren't discussing whether or not he would be a good DC. Just whether or not it would be unrealistic to expect him to know how to Design a Defense along with another DC (Etch), which is what your original statement was. That it would be unrealistic to assume so. I'm simply stating that since he's already shown he can take on field experience and transfer that to a playbook via Special teams. It isn't unrealistic that he could also do that for a Defense. Whether or not it would work out is another discussion all together. If he were a former DC at any level then I'd agree with you. As he wasn't I don't. So only DC's can recognize or design defensive schemes then? I'm betting that lots of defensive position coaches can, to various degrees do it, and I'm willing to bet that some players can too. I know this because there is no "magic" that happens once someone is named defensive coordinator. They are not suddenly able to do things that they couldn't do before, it's just that they are now being paid and given the responsibility for doing it. So does O'shea have a background that might allow him to help a DC put together a defensive package? Of course he does. Arguing that he doesn't is just plain silly. Would O'Shea be really good at doing it? Maybe, maybe not. Sure that's how it works. Once someone has enough experience points they level up and gain new skills that they don't have access to before. *finger snaps*
  2. Every. F***ing. Time........
  3. http://www.bluebombers.com/video/index/id/119755 Some good things in here. Really get the impression KW is a really smart guy who desperately wants to succeed. It's just a matter of putting all the pieces together.
  4. ssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhhhhhhhhhh....................
  5. started 2-2, won 12 straight, then lost the final 2 games, including the final game of the season to Calgary, which let them into the playoffs and..............well, we don't need to go there.......
  6. ... And that OL.....
  7. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. It's okay... I'm at least one or the other...
  8. Cluck Cluck cluck.fyp.
  9. The media just loves that QB-turned-Rec story and will be all over that when voting.
  10. Ha ha yeah, that's the thing...i picked a good one, trust me. She's all in. Easily more of a craft beer nerd than me. Eventually she wants a bar in the basement (and it would be HER bar) so she can have all that stuff up on display. She's definitely not the snotty ***** that wants fashionable **** up around the house, that's for sure...
  11. Have not the CC beer gardens been fails in the past? All the festival events are a near sellout right now. Guaranteed money at this point and the game will be the bonus gravy...
  12. Westerman is gonna get the Royal screw job on his Canadian....
  13. The gf and I have been doing that kind of collecting and decorating our house with a lot of it. She loves collecting growlers from different places and other signage. 17to85 says we're immature and the house looks like a frat but we enjoy it! *waves at dave*
  14. Ya luckily it'll be the first two hours on the Friday so she should be alright....
  15. You did give the snort of derision the first time this came up last fall
  16. They really and truly did. I'd have suggested you but wasn't sure you'd be allowed to go......
  17. The transformation of Ed Nigma has been fun to watch as well.
  18. We definitely have our favourites (Tool Shed People Skills, Village Triplet, Olds College Hay City have been in regular rotation lately and Grizzly Paw Grumpy Bear and Rutting Elk are always a consideration) but it's good to find new stuff. We go to Calgary Beer Fest every year (the gf and I were asked to be judges in 2016...should be fun!) so of you guys have a chance to go to Flatlander Beer Fest in YWG, do it! Best place to learn!
  19. This one is the most intriguing one for me... what does he mean by "gets the opportunity"... Does he know that Brady will be let go at season's end?... what's wrong with his current opportunity? Let's hope those "in the know" actually know what they're talking about... That's what makes then In The Know.... Remember Mikes post a couple days ago about Howell and how he got slapped down by smart people for hating on him? We need more of that around here. Guys with real game knowledge to say what's what.
  20. As has been mentioned several times now, the team is set to make their real money off the various GC Festival events. The game is just a bonus.
  21. there's no question it'll be an "announced" sell-out....just a matter of when.
  22. Really seems like all the "in the know" people like MOS and want him kept around. People know he's going to be a great HC one day and it'd be a mistake to let him go too soon.
  23. Try as many Canadian micro-brews as possible. There's a ton of great ones. We're fantastically spoiled in Alberta with a lotta good stuff. Grizzly Paw, Tool Shed, Village, Wild Rose, Alley Kat, Big Rock....and more that I'm sure I'm forgetting. Also, for all you craft beer junkies....grab the "Untapped" app for your phone and do a check in every time you try something. I know Raydawg is on there...and I think 17to85 as well. A good way to find out what's out there and what other people thought of it, then give your own 2 cents...
  24. Agreed. The girlfriend has a tough time with some of the graphic violence in this. It can definitely be dark sometimes. Have been a big Donal Logue (Bullock) fan since his arc started on Law and Order: SVU and Ben McKenzie since the OC days. Both really great actors. The kid playing Cobblepot should be getting Emmy nom's....he's been outstanding from Day 1.
  25. Depends on who all was available. If that was our choice from options that included George Cortez, Dave Dickenson and Kent Austin.....I'd be disappointed. If that's our choice from a much more limited selection? I'll be good with it and have visions of 2002 mixed with 2010 offenses.....
