In 02 he had a gun slinger at qb and Stegall and Bruce in the slot, that put teams in a bind defensively and all Khari had to do was pick one of them to heave it up to. So sign a slotback to replace Moore... WIlly is a gunslinger and Denmark is our other SB. We have a Roberts/Sellers type duo in Cotton/Marshall... And don't forget that one of Jones' targets was Jamie Stoddard... we are way ahead of the curve there, probably four stoddards on the roster already! Lolololololol........ohhhhh my......

I have no confidence that Lapo can put together a quality offense without Milt Stegall, Charles Roberts, Mike Sellers, Arland Bruce, etc.....

I love Bell in AB because they're one of the least offensive of all the pirates, they ate my MTS contract when I moved out here, and have solid coverage when I'm home in Winnipeg, at the cottage at Victoria Beach and even when I'm visiting folks back in Pinawa. But, again, if I was back in Manitoba, I'd have an MTS contract in a heartbeat.....

One of the things I miss most about Manitoba is MTS. One day I will have an MTS contract again, and it'll be glorious. The only reason I'd ever go to Rogers is to get free NHL Centre Ice, but even then....do you really wanna support the most evil of empires??

Sure as hell shouldn't be Lulay, as one suggested. Harris, maybe...but even then, I'm not sold on him, based on the second half of the season.

I need a source to confirm this, but I've heard rumours flying around that Edmonton is requesting permission to speak with Maas. The pieces seem to be falling into place. Been discussed ad nauseum.....he's the next head coach, when/if Jones leaves for the Dirty Regina... Not sure Maas is ready for a HC position yet, he was part of a strong RB coaching staff which can distort one person's contribution. Remains to be seen if he can handle the top job or not. Obviously agreed and pray to God it happens......

All the Golden West stations south of the City do that, too, on the FM dial, but the announcers are pretty shitty for the most part, because they just take locals and pay them minimum wage, which does not create very good radio. I listen to 107.7 country in Steinbach. Its a lot better than 104. Mornings are pretty good with Karen Black hosting and Daryl Braun doing news, weather and sports. After that it does fall off a bit but a lot less commercials than the city stations. I've heard a lot of good things about what Karen's done, both on air and as the music programmer for all of GW Country stations across Canada, but she'll be the only on air person in that building making anything above minimum wage, I'm betting. It's really a shame. Curious how much is VoiceTracked after 9am, too. Likely the Drive outta Moose Jaw or something, and possibly Middays VTed in house or via Winkler....

Golden West is strictly designed to make money....it's a sales business that plays some music to have something in between the commercials. I don't have a lot of love for their idea of "radio", but nothing but respect for their ability to make money hand over fist in the current media climate.
