the whole "hire the best guys!" argument is so old and tired. It's been debunked forever. The unfortunate reality is that we're talking about Winnipeg. We have a great new stadium and a stable hierarchy at the top, but we're still Winnipeg who hasn't won in a billion years and are not the most desirable city to live in (especially compared to Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc...) I remember Lawless going over all this before MOS was hired and saying "Listen, we're never going to get the Trestman's or Huff's of the world, so what we have to do is hire the very best rookie we can get, and pray they develop"......

Odds of getting hit by a bus vs odds of getting hurt playing football when you've already suffered significant injuries playing the sport...........seriously. I'm not arguing one way or another, but get a better argument than that.

Lol @ citing HFB as a place of knowledgeable hockey gurus. Hilariums. HFB is where crazy people go to scream at one another.

/thread.

there's far more to it than that....you're always so focused on the negative.

Knox *may* have been a bust at MACK, but he's turned into a quality special teamer and can play outside LB....and who knows, maybe in year 2 he shows better in the MACK spot in TC...?

I know people keep making this comparison, but I believe Ray is a fair bit older than AC was when Trestman took over, no? And Ray is far more beat up than AC was. Not saying he can't play another couple years, but I don't think this comparison is necessarily apt...

Amen to this. I had more fun watching the Bombers, and their whole Fort Hew campaign, than I have in many many years...can't even remember. The legit love all the players have for one another and the coach is so cool to see, and when I see Wade Miller out shoveling snow off the seats before a playoff game, I know the team cares about their fans. This week I'm buying my plane ticket home for CFL Week in March, and I can't WAIT to get the 2018 season rolling...

This....

I'm not sure how good Trestman looks without a proven veteran QB, so if Frito packs 'er in, they'll immediately be on the hunt for someone proven...

so much this....you want quality players to come to Winnipeg? Having a coach they want to play for is a big part of it...

Say what you want, but Bombers in those conditions, and winner takes all one game...... I like our odds.....

Remember when the Argos fired all of their staff right before FA and didn't bring in a new staff till late.... And we all laughed about how ****** they were.......

Shania was dressed really weird but I love her music and personality. She's so Canadian it's almost unbelievable. Still, at her core, just a small town girl from Timmins. Shitty football, but entertaining as hell.... Having a blast watching this.

*sobs*

But......... What kind of beer?

Damn well should..... Full stop.

Anyone who thinks that holding your players publicly accountable is the right way to do it is wrong, period. Full stop.

I was alive for our last 3 cups but don't remember watching any of them. Even 90, I was 10, but don't remember watching the game. I'm certain we did, but damned if I remember. So I honestly don't have a good GC memory. Not a single one. Nothing but heartache.

I want a good game. Have always been a big Frito fan so wouldn't cry if this was his swan song...

This is just painful, but thankfully, virtually everyone else in the league is convinced.....

MOS for Coach.... Just fantastic. That makes my day. Really neat to see what players around the league think... That matters so much more than idiot media.

Jets making a statement on this Cali trip....

I've always wanted to attend the awards but f*** that's an expensive ticket when game tix and other events already aren't cheap...

The tooliest tool that ever tooled....
