As concerned as some of us were about a change in tone for Taits pieces, he's really writing the exact same stuff as he always did...

I am a lifelong WFP subscriber (when I was in Manitoba) and had a paper route with them in Pinawa when I was a kid...was my first job. I was EXCEEDINGLY loyal to them for a lot of years. Up until the last couple years, one of the things I looked forward to most when coming home from AB was being able to read a physical copy of the WFP. Now........not so much.

Barely an hour after head coach Mike O’Shea told reporters Tuesday — with a straight face — that it still wasn’t clear how serious Westerman’s injury was or even if it was upper body or lower body, the club announced on its website that Westerman was done for the season via an "exclusive" that included quotes from Westerman, who was declared off limits to the real reporters on Tuesday because he was injured. Now, I suppose it’s possible that in the space of one hour, the club fully diagnosed Westerman’s injury, confirmed it was season-ending, interviewed the player and then wrote a pseudo-story and posted it on its website. But more likely, O’Shea already knew exactly what was wrong with Westerman and that he was done for the season even as he was claiming the opposite to reporters, presumably to preserve his team’s big "exclusive" an hour later. And so it goes in an age when pro sports teams everywhere are increasingly trying to pass off team propaganda as news — and massage any bad news with their own spin before they let the legit reporters take over. Fake reporters doing fake news — available at a team website near you.

If there is one thing MOS prizes above all else, it's ones ability to be a good teammate. I don't imagine he tolerates whiners well. Also probably a big reason he's not interested in Bass, who walked out on Ottawa.

I honestly don't think a whole lot will change on the line...just one less body rotating in, probably.

Bauming says nothing wildly different about the Bombers DL....same guys, minus Westerman. Thomas to "start" to fix the ratio......Jeffcoat and Ogopogo on either end, likely...

Brief scrap at practice between Spooner and Ogopogo, apparently....(says Bauming).....Westerman very involved in practice today, in a jersey and gloves....

maybe it's the lack of posting, so it seems worse, but I feel like every time you post, it's something negative about how the team is setting up the roster......

In fairness, you've been exhaustingly negative lately about the management team.....there's a yin and yang around here...

100% this...especially when it's pre-season hockey. How often do you get the chance to see a local pro team win a championship live?? No brainer...

My initial thought is paper transaction.... We'll see if he shows up somewhere else...
