Going to resurrect this, as the CFL regular season would have started this weekend. Last night would have been the first games of the season on TSN.... Ed Tait does a great job putting into words what a lot of us are feeling right now, trying to understand a summer without CFL football: https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/06/12/first-10-column-reflecting-season-opener/

That's actually not as much as I was expecting.... That seems reasonable when you factor in all the stuff this thing can do.

Never mind Woogie....poor Petey stuck on the PR. That guy could really be something on pretty much any other team's offense...

fwiw, I'm a really big fan of Rasheed Bailey and Kenny Lawler. I know we've said it before, but I think both of those guys could really be something.

Yeah, I'm an active member on a couple of fishing messageboards, and this has been a thing. The mayor of Kenora had to make an impassioned plea to residents, via the local newspaper, to leave Manitobans alone, because they're bringing much needed money into the local economy. Guess there's a long standing feud between locals and "Those 'Tobans" who come in and "take over" during the summer months, but it's really increased because of the fear of COVID coming from Wpg into Kenora.

Big news from the MB presser on Phase 3 today, which would potentially launch June 21st.... Outdoor gatherings go from 50 people to 100, and residents of Western Canada and Northwest Ontario would no longer need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering the province. Great news for those of us hoping to come home this summer...

Not ENOUGH people would pay it, is the issue. Diehards? Absolutely. But you wouldn't get enough to make it work.- Covid-19
re: First Nations cases..... not sure if Iso meant the Siksika First Nation east of Calgary, which did have a minor outbreak, but they had a COVID Management Team in the community from Day 1 with their own testing site and everything, and it was snuffed out relatively quickly....or is my understanding from the daily Dr Hinshaw pressers....- 2019-20 CFL Offseason
I first heard about the Adopt-A-Team model from a Naylor tweet a few weeks ago and thought it was fantastic at the time, and like it more and more all the time. I'm not sure if it would work financially for everyone, but it seems like the best possible scenario...- 2019-20 CFL Offseason
https://www.cfl.ca/2020/06/09/tsn-announces-weekly-show-cfl2020-airing-fridays-tsn/ TORONTO — TSN is set to launch the new weekly show, CFL2020, discussing the latest news from around the Canadian Football League. CFL2020 airs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. ET beginning this Friday, June 12, ahead of TSN’s weekly CFL ENCORE FRIDAYS. Hosted by Rod Smith, the new show features comprehensive news and analysis from the CFL ON TSN panel of Henry Burris, Matt Dunigan, Milt Stegall, and Davis Sanchez; CFL Insiders Farhan Lalji and Dave Naylor; the Inside the Booth pairing of Glen Suitor and Duane Forde; as well as CFL players, management, and personnel from around the league. This Friday’s premiere episode discusses the current state of the league, and confronts the question of whether or not a 2020 CFL season is possible. The show includes interviews with CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie and CFLPA head Brian Ramsay. Moving forward, the show will examine each of the nine teams’ off-seasons, and what their rosters will look like upon the league’s return. In the meantime, TSN continues to deliver a regular slate of classic CFL matchups with CFL ENCORE FRIDAYS. This Friday’s edition highlights the best nail-biting playoff games featuring the 2013 Eastern Semi-Final overtime thriller between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes, and the BC Lions’ last-minute victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2016 Western Semi-Final. For all the latest on TSN’s programming, please check TSN.ca for the most up-to-date broadcast schedule.- Covid-19
I really hope people don't contract the virus from the protests. I personally believe this BLM movement is the biggest, most important social movement of my lifetime and NEEDS to be heard. It's just really really unfortunate it had to happen during a pandemic.- 2019-20 CFL Offseason

nobody, anywhere in North America, at any point, has been in a lockdown. That's a dog-whistle term for some people concerned about their "rights". Italy had a lockdown...police/army in the streets making sure nobody leaves their home. The fact that some people think what we've been going through is a "lockdown" shows just how privileged we really are.- 2019-20 CFL Offseason
that doesn't exist, unfortunately, and it's my understanding that CJOB's logger tape of that call no longer exists either. Damn shame.- Covid-19
