Intriguing...I like Jamie Foxx, and I will watch Joe Levitt in pretty much anything. This seems like a "I'll catch it on bluray/streaming" movie, but I think I'll dig this.

I'd trade Laine for Eichel, maybe.....but I wouldn't do Connor for Eichel straight up. I don't care where they were drafted.

I want to say I listened to that game on CJOB while camping at Big Whiteshell, but I'm not 100% sure. One of the greatest shames in pro sports is that there is no video of that game, other than a CKND highlight pack. I don't even think CJOB has the logger tapes from that night. Man oh man, what a shame.

So, I'm fortunate to have been gifted a fresh batch of Bombers games on DVD that start in the 07 season. I had forgotten about this situation where Westwood cost us in the season opener against Edmonton, where we lost in OT because he missed a couple relative chip shots. Then the next game, which we won, was the new kicker and of course that's all the announcers are talking about. (Palardy, I think?) And they kept showing Westwood on the sideline....refusing to be anywhere near his teammates and not cheering for the new guy (or the team, in general). It was a really really interesting thing to watch that whole situation unfold...

Someone online was mentioning how they've been using the nickname of Empire a lot in the past several years so it would be an easy switch to that. Keep the EE thing and not have a ridiculously racist nickname.

Damon Allen by far the most overrated CFL QB ever. There's a reason he wasn't a first ballot HOFer......

Yes. Best pure passer maybe ever. Doug Flutie is the greatest overall QB this league has ever seen, no question, and could do everything. Pass, run, read defenses as well as anyone...he did everything. Ray was as good a passer and d-reader, and possibly even better, but didn't have the run game. Ray was a surgeon. He doesn't get nearly enough respect for being on the Mount Rushmore of CFL QBs.

Ray isn't just better than Calvillo, he's WAY better. Frito was ridiculous. The argument that Calvillo is an all time great because he shredded the Bombers in the 2000s doesn't really mean much to me. He was good, no question, but as with Damon Allen, he was really overrated.

as good as Ricky Ray was, I would say he's one of the most underrated players in league history. People have never given him enough credit. Best pure passer I ever witnessed.
