  1. I'm not sure that was ever "official" but was definitely rumoured...
  2. well eff me for only half reading the tweet, and Tait had just said he'd be in camp. Christ sakes...wonder what happened there...
  3. welcome back, Robert Priester....
  4. shocked that Chris Jones is the one with the history of being an ******* to veterans, according to the union....absolutely shocked, I tell you....
  5. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/cfl/cfl-labour-negotiations-roundup-1.6447760 Veteran Elks QBs reportedly partaking in rookie camp The Edmonton Elks will be the lone CFL team to have veteran quarterbacks participating in their rookie camp Wednesday. On Sunday, the CFL Players' Association announced it had informed eight CFL teams that it had directed veteran quarterbacks to skip rookie camps, which are slated to open Wednesday. The union added there was "the exception of one club, where there is concern by our Association over a pattern of retribution toward players by team management." According to a source, the Elks were that club. The source spoke on the condition of anonymity as neither the CFL nor the union had specifically named the Edmonton franchise. So veteran Nick Arbuckle, who was traded to Edmonton from Toronto last October, and sophomore Taylor Cornelius, who started eight games last year for the Elks, are expected to report to rookie camp Wednesday.
  6. Happy Mini Camp Eve, everyone!! https://www.bluebombers.com/2022/05/09/positional-preview-defensive-backs-6/?fbclid=IwAR3UpvQOf-p5k-uuN97EXK3CpqFPkRI8ypt8wEEcdZv4ZbDsdesketiAEl8 The DBs, courtesy Our Man Tait....
  7. Mini Camp (in theory...) opens on Wednesday!! Weeeeeeoooooooooo!
  8. So you're saying there's a niche for an actual professional version of this, eh.....?
  9. that video just seems like a zoom chat that accidentally got recorded. Is that supposed to be a "podcast".....'cause, if so, it's the most bush league, low budget broadcast I've seen from so-called "professionals" ever.....
  10. anyone see Dr Strange yet? I haven't had a chance yet, but the reviews I've read said it's a bit of a mixed bag.... curious what the take is around here
  11. it just makes sense on so many levels, but there will be a ton of interest from around the league, and I wouldn't be surprised if more than a few teams were willing to can their current guy now that Trotzy is available.
  12. It's insane that the Isles would let him go, and a complete miracle for Chevy that this even happened. I wonder if Trotzy doesn't wait out the summer to see how many jobs come open and then take the highest bid. He'll be in high demand, no question. I hope the Jets pay him every penny he wants and then some.
  13. You love to see it!
  14. man, that Sellers video put to Ludacris is going to outlive us all. Mine and Dave's buddy Chad (former OB.com poster Coorsman) made that video using two VHS decks and God only knows what else rudimentary tech he had access to in the early 00s. Hilarious that it's still going...
  15. 1) I don't get the impression that you hate to say it at all. I kinda get that you're really angry and want to say **** like that 2) How can we justify that the back up Canadian is making more than the back up American? Because it's OUR. *******. LEAGUE. This is the CANADIAN football league. Preference, in some way shape or form, should always be given to the Canadian players, coaches, etc...
  16. one of the many reasons why you're my boy, Jay!!
  17. I blame it on being a 1980s baby. I've always been an Oilers and Jets fan. Loved Gretzky and wanted to be Grant Fuhr when I was a young tender in minor hockey. But there's always love for the "local" boys as well... Andrew McBain, Jim Kyte, Daniel Barthiaume... I remember collecting all their cards back in the late 80s and early 90s. In a league as big as the NHL is, I don't have as big an issue with the 2 teams thing. In a 9 team CFL however.... **** anyone who isn't us.
  18. One Of the best pure singers the genre ever had. Lived a full life but still sad.
  19. I'm not sure a 9 year old will get what they're going for with this, but they'll enjoy it in their own way maybe. The idea of Al as a coked out 80s rock star is really really funny....
