  1. **** them all but especially **** the riders.
  2. And like I said, if Eli isn't better... then time to move on and find someone else because kolankowski for my money is the teams weakest starter and needs to be replaced 2 years ago. If that has to be by an American so be it, but let's stop wasting time on a guy like that.
  3. Were they? The offense was beyond useless the last 3 Grey cups in a row. Is that because they just didn't play well or was that because it was a poor roster make up for the opponents? 2023 especially we dressed 3 receivers who could barely move... how is that putting a capable team on the field? Don't let the score fool you. That it was close is a minor miracle considering how useless the offense was. Hurt collaros in 2022 and 2024 isn't putting a roster capable of winning out there either. Most games come down to a handful of plays.... give yourself the best chance to make those plays. That includes depth for every position, not relying on injured players etc etc.
  4. Citation needed... cause Eli hasn't gotten many reps at centre. And forget snaps, he hasn't looked anywhere as useless blocking as kolankowski has. I'll live with the occasional iffy snap vs. No pocket for a qb.
  5. And if we dressed some healthier receivers in 2023 maybe they make those handful of plays... maybe if an injured collaros is taken out of the game last year they makes some plays to win... Roster decisions have 100% impacted the teams ability to make the plays necessary to win the tight games. That's the whole point! When it's that close you can't afford to handicap yourself. Again they got away with a lot more in the past because they had a very strong and very deep roster, but the depth has been eroded and and starters are aging and becoming less consistent. Time is coming quickly when the roster management problems become more and more of an issue.
  6. And kolankowski has looked like **** in the regular season for a few years... all people want is to see if a change makes a difference because the starter is not good enough
  7. I dunno, but I also know no one has a worse centre than we do.
  8. Then if he truly isn't better than kolankowski cut him because he's not worth keeping. Kolankowski is a scrap heap emergency injury fill in type of player. If your backup isn't better than that why are we keeping him?
  9. But in comparison to the rest? I stand by my statement. He's the most noticeable. Really? Jake hasn't needed to take the kind of snaps he has for several years. Osh was always going to play him more than he should.
  10. Yeah but collaros also sucks at the underneath passing game....
  11. Your best lineman is adams and he's getting so few snaps. Embarrassing.
  12. Oh sure, but that's justification for the numbers only, not when you try and account for the age of the DEs. 3 or 4 years ago sure run those guys as the only 2 but now they don't have the legs to be out there all the time.
  13. And jeffcoat missed a lot of time to injury so moving on wasn't necessarily wrong... but they definitely didn't put in a lot of effort trying to replace the DEs. Nor DTs. Trotting out Jake as if he's Doug brown ain't cutting anything. Jake was a depth guy at his peak and he's well past that now.
  14. I knew this would be the first argument brought up... and there's some validity tonight, but the 1s have looked very similar in the regular season compared to preseason and we can pretty much nail the roster that'll start as soon as camp opens so that shows me that osh has it written in ink from day 1 and it won't change. Honestly I want to see one person provide a good solid justification to having Ayers, a linebacker, as the only DE depth on the roster when our starters are 34 and 32 years old.
  15. It's very telling that Mike Oshea never actually retired from playing. He would not ever quit and he's not going to tell one of his guys to quit.
  16. I don't think receivers are really the problem on this team. Qb and OL are where I see problems.
  17. Ok how many pressures are the DL generating this year? Cause it is usually a linebacker getting pressure. First in those categories last year is one thing but what about this year?
  18. But look at what happened in preseason game 2... the starters on D got outperformed badly by the 2s... not a coincidence in my mind. The defensive line is a problem and has been for a couple years. Would really like to know how people feel they really are putting the best people out there...
  19. So you've never seen oshea make a mistake in roster construction?
  20. We had a really strong roster and won a lot of games as a result, and can still win... but they're getting older and games like last week will be more and more common.
  21. We can go back and long way and see roster management problems fro. Osh. Love the guy as a coach but he has flaws in this regard and has for a long time. The problem now is there's a lot of fading stars that get all kinds of rope when they really need to be spelled off more.
  22. So big time players under achieved... where was the move to sit then down and see if the rest of the roster can over come it? You really think younger wants an old assed defensive line that struggles to get pressure? Are you really going to be that obtuse? Yes 3 man fronts are the norm... but you could out 3 better players there and have depth so that the old parts don't get gassed after 1 month of the season.
  23. But it isn't the bottom 4 positions on the depth chart... it's the middle of the ******* defense... defensive tackle (and defensive line in general) and middle linebacker are pretty ******* important areas. And don't give me that we haven't lost a game because of roster management. We lost 3 grey cups in a row in large part to roster management. Collaros playing hurt in 2022, 3 receivers who couldn't run in 2023... there's issues with how this roster is constructed and to deny that is just dumb.
  24. Well preseason he was better... historically he's been more impactful... what else do you want? J. Jones hasn't had the opportunity to get on the field with the Bombers in regular season so your argument ultimately boils down to "well the coaches are infallible when building the roster"... and that's a HARD sell given the history that is there with that aspect. Or was Sam Hurl always there because he was the best option back in the day?
