Yeah people shouldn't take this as everyone shitting on Grigsby, I got nothing against the guy, but I think Cotton was and is a better runner and I want to see him get a chance. Our running game isn't working well enough that it's untouchable.

He got one pass that he whiffed on and it hit him in the face, did he get anything else until the end of the game where he showed more moves than Grigsby has? I can't remember any... So if one drop is enough then what's Grigsbys excuse? Cotton to me is the more elusive back who is better at getting consistent production. That is something that helps. They both faced the same kind of competition in preseason and one looked better. Grigsby is running the same way he did in preseason, let's give cotton a real chance to run and see if we're not a better team for it. It's nothing against Grigsby I just think that Cotton was the most impressive player in preseason and earned that chance. Especially when Grigsby really isn't getting the job done outside those first 2 weeks of the season.

Spending money to improve an inadequate public transportation system is always going to get less scrutiny than spending money on stadiums and arenas, case in point: look at the nonstop *****-fest that went on in Edmonton when Katz was trying to get a new arena built.

Why? I'm guessing because he thinks Cotton is better. Basically. I think Grigsby's hot start was the worst thing to happen to this team because we can't justify sitting him for awhile and he's clearly the inferior back. Do we know whether Cotton is better than Grigsby at blocking? No but based on preseason we can pretty safely say he's a better runner and quite honestly I'd rather a runningback that can get the team in 2nd and short more often so that they don't have to be in the backfield blocking so often. Grigsby is to me is too much like Will Ford was in that he either gets a first down or 2 yards.

That's a bit of a shock, if he was willing to sit on the practice roster why didn't we keep him here? He's willing to sit on the practice roster because he got upfront money. And with as insane as Chamblin is being with runningbacks over there he probably figures he's got a chance to get on the roster sooner or later.

A concussion that happens in a run of the mill tackle or even an incidental kind of thing is one thing, a concussion because a guy gives you the old club across the head in an obviously dirty play is quite another. One you should be able to remove from the game.

Never understood why teams are so reluctant to actually pass to tight ends... seems that if you never look their way for a pass then you're just telling the defense they don't have to bother worrying about them doing anything but blocking.

Which of our receivers do you see as the speed demons who will get the BC defenders into their backpedal immediately? I see our receivers more as possession receivers rather than fly pattern types. JFG has gotten wide open a few times but not because of his speed. I think all of the American receivers we're using right now are fast. Maybe not the pure speed demons but all of Moore, Denmark and Bryant are fast enough to outrun people.

Beating BC is simple, hit Glenn early and often. If he's uncomfortable he ain't good. You let him get into a groove and he can be quite good and having backs like Harris and Logan can make things very balanced. So yeah, bury Glenn a few times it'll take care of itself.

Of course we would be. There's nothing wrong with what Reilly did. I'd expect him to get up if he didn't hear a whistle. The point is there should have been a whistle. This is one of those arguments where you're obviously not going to get it, so we'll just leave it at that. Point is there shouldn't have been a whistle because no one touched him. You're the one who's not getting it. If a qb slides and gives himself up they blow the whistle though without the qb needing to be touched....

well look at it this way, let's say the Bombers and Esks game was the last one on the schedule this week instead of the first, "well I missed the first 3 games but I got a chance here, I'll take Grigsby the rbs are always a safe choice" doesn't get you any further ahead right? The odds I don't think change at all, just that you cut out 3/4 of the choices by waiting until the last game.

This isn't about assigning blame, this is about my disagreement with the statement that Willy looked confused. I didn't see a confused qb, I saw an offense that wasn't working.
