Look at it this way.... Jake Thomas didn't get to the CFL from his god-given natural ability so presumably he was very receptive to coaching along the way. Now maybe all those lessons he learned are things he can pass along. Or maybe the hate brigade is right and he will be terrible. It remains to be seen, i just know that retirement into coaching isn't an out of left field thing for players like Jake Thomas.

Honestly Booch has hated Jake Thomas for years, even when he was a serviceable backup player. Just hates guys with limited athletic ability who succeed anyway. I say give Jake a chance in this role and see how he does with it.

The best players don't always make the best coaches. It's often the less gifted guys who make tremendous coaches... so how good withh Jake Thomas be as DL coach? I don't know but it's not some immediately crucifiable since to try.

I don't think it was.... I mean as much as they had some close games they probably could have lost, they also had some close games they probably could have won. So a 10-8 record is probably where they ought to be. One game better than .500, it's not like it was some fantastic record and they got a home playoff game out of it or anything.

Kramdi to me is a great depth piece who can rotate in and take some not completely awful reps in a couple positions as a Canadian.... now I am not sure that's worth what they pay him...

Some .might say that Jake and koala are just out standing there doing nothing...

It's a **** load of money and probably way too much for a running back.... however... how do you not do what it takes to bring that guy back? The marketability alone makes him valuable to the club. Just gotta make the rest of the roster work around that.

I blame scheme more than OL for the hits Zach was taking to be honest.

That is one way to look at it and it very well could be correct... or it could be correct that there was more talent here than roster usage showed.

Bo got his shoulder healthier and Harris stayed healthy this past season... neither one ever relied on their athleticism as much as collaros. That's the #1 problem here.

It's mot just some DEs looking good in one game... think about the home preseason game... the #1s looked ho-hum but as soon as the 2s went in the performance level went up noticeably.

Ugh, Kian Schaefer baker is probably the most over rated receiver out there. I'd take a flyer on Gittens with a bounce back year though.

Vividly picturing a couple notable examples where he's downfield and could easily get a piece of someone but just does nothing. He's just ******* embarrassing.

The rare times kolankowski actually got a block at the point of attack Oliveira would inevitably have a huge gain. Simply put our centre sucks and bringing the heavy sets we used a ton of don't mean **** when the middle guy is beat so badly so often by 1 guy.

At guard... he's never got much chance at centre where our actual centee being a matador would be an improvement. Kolankowski spends most of the game wandering around like he's lost.

If only for the "can't standya" jokes

What if they're asking him to do that because that is all he can do anymore? We saw him go off in the grey cup 2 seasons ago which did not happen during the season or since... so the logical interpretation is that Willie is old and can't be an every down impact player anymore but he plays every down so they try and save him and let him knock passes down. Too much country club where tenured vets get to play no matter what.
