It seems to me that Walters MO is to take a "safe" pick first and then dabble with riskier things later. I mean he always seems to prioritize the lines, usually OL and get someone he knows is likely to at least suit up. Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think we'll ever see him deviate from that.

The fact that he didn't come back in the game was all I needed to know. If he didn't come back of course he had a concussion, guy has a soft melon from previous issues. He's a bit of a band aid, but that's the price he pays for playing the game the way he does.

Yes actually. Guy has done a good job taking on the top matchup and coming out ahead. The lack of points is more a case of just not having chances go in because that line probably has the most zone time of any for the Oilers at 5 on 5. Also, he might be 6'1 but he's still skinny so when Noeller calls him a big kid it's not really true, he's slighter than a lot of guys, but still has a bit of an edge to his game. Not ever going to be a bit hitter or a physical threat but he's willing to stick his nose in the greasy areas.

The Oilers always encouraged their players to go if they were eliminated (har har, heard the jokes). The only reason they did anything was when their goalies went on crazy hot streaks, less than insane level goal tending that team had a shitty record. Plus their record vs. playoff teams was poor, they feasted on crappy teams in the regular season. Total playoff pretender and not a surprise the Ducks dispatched them without much effort.
