You know when Denmark was a rookie it was other guys who grabbed the attention in camp yet Denmark remained and did damned well. Sometimes it's not about the few big plays it is the consistency.

It's Chris Jones. When your leadership is a bunch of tools the players act like a bunch of tools. Calgary has classy folks in charge and their players act better. Same deal in Winnipeg. It starts at the top and trickles down.

This game filled me with confidence. They left a ton of star power in Winnipeg and the guys they took still managed to look like they can play in this league. Also not worrying about injuries cause the depth looks to finally be at a point where guys can step in and not miss a beat. Kudos to Kyle Walters. Had himself a nice off season.

I think there have been some guys who made the cuts easy on the coaches and some guys who really jumped off the page. Man Montgomery had a game, but the position is so stacked already....

Or how about this, when a guy goes down holding his knee the first thing everyone does is panic cause it might be an ACL, The team didn't say ****, their message was always "we will get it checked out and see what the story is" They came out and said 4-6 weeks in short order, there's no playing here, just over zealous people wanting to write off Nichols for the year, and why not, makes for easier articles for people to write "who can the bombers trade for?" massive speculation and talking points. The CFL media by and large is only concerned with the low hanging fruit.

Because that's been Lapos MO with this offense the entire time, not to mention that we now have some receivers who can go up and win some one on one battles, that gives qbs some hope too. I just think it's ridiculous to write things off at this point. The entire team looks very solid except for the qbs behind Nichols who are unproven. If a rookie can't manage the game with this team then this team isn't as good as we think it is.

Bunch of pessimists. The D is better simply because the front 7 looks rock solid, we already know this team can take the ball away, we know we have a great special teams unit. Why can't we win games if the qbs simply avoid turn overs? That shouldn't be hard. Sure they might not win a shoot out, but nothing saying they can't play it safe and chip away. Hell that's mostly what Nichols does for us anyway.

Guess he can always just subsidize those farmers more. Perhaps if they weren't artificially propping up the industry they wouldn't have an excess of product and nowhere to sell it.
