Here is what it really comes down to, it might be something that has existed for a while and had a blind eye turned to it, like stashing a couple extra players around town, but Jones takes that and makes such a spectacle and mockery of it by going to extreme levels with it that is forces the league to crack down on it. You do it just a little bit no one bats an eye, you make it a sideshow, as Jones does with most things, and then you are forcing the league to address it.

to be fair though that's every D in the league. You don't get after the qb there's too much room on a CFL field for the back end to cover everyone all the time.

and if I had a million dollars I'd be rich. Look we know what kind of D Ritchie Hall runs. It is frustrating to watch because it gives up yards and drives, but that's what it is and it's not changing as long as he is here, might as well stop wishing we had at their peak swaggerville and and get used to what we do have. A D that gives us all heart attacks but is capable of making adjustments and coming through when they are needed. They do need support from the offense though. If the O goes 2 and out a bunch or turns the ball over things will get out of hand, but that will happen with any defence. It just looks worse with what the bombers are running.

sigh... weather=/= climate. I wish the uninformed masses would stop treating every weather event like it's climate change in action. This is just not true. If you are in a shoot out and need a stop and the D gives it to you it's still a key stop even if the entire game wasn't a master piece. There are lots of shades of grey in football. It's not all good or all bad, it can be good and bad mixed together. Like most sports it's less important the total numbers but more important when you make the plays.

GIven the sheer number of movies he's in and the fact that he keeps getting cast in damned near everything yeah i would say The Rock is viewed as a proven draw. He is certainly a much more known commodity than Cena. Quite frankly I always found Cena boring as all hell but The Rock is THE most electrifying man in all sports entertainment!

And that is why I am quite frankly astounded at the doom and gloom. Yeah it was an absolutely god awful first quarter, but the rest of the game was not any kind of lopsided affair. It was a handful of plays that went against them that were the difference in the game. It wasn't a blow out or drubbing, it wasn't a score that flattered winnipeg, it was what it was. They got behind early and never managed to overcome that. It happens, and it happens to every team. The loss sucks cause it just lets the ******** green brigade keep chirping, but win next weekend and problem solved.

You're an idiot. if you think 2 scores, or 3 at it's worst I believe is garbage time in the CFL you clearly don't know anything about this league. The Bombers themselves came back from 2 scores down against Montreal with like 2 minutes to play. That's the beauty of the CFL, it's entirely possible to make up 2 scores with a couple plays. No garbage time in that one until the very end.

because people with low post counts only show up to ***** and moan about the losses and disappear when there is nothing to ***** about. it's one game but the way some of you act you'd think they were 3-7 not the other way around. it was a 2 score game, those two scores came largely as a result of 2 big plays, an INT and a big return, hardly the blow out some people are trying to turn it into. Clean up those plays or make a couple big plays of your own and the discussion is entirely different.

Yeah we got a soft team, that's why the Riders had a bunch of guys go down injured (not the fake ones either, legit ones) I said it in the chat, teams take on the personality of their head coaches and we see that with these teams. Bombers are a tough team that doesn't do a lot of dirty stuff, the Riders act like a bunch of dinks.

put that into the endzone there was still a chance, not a good one, but a chance. So yeah I don't think there was any massive error leaving Nichols in. Some peopel are just quicker to throw in the towel than others and honestly there is value to Nichols getting more snaps against the team he has to play next week.

Well he did have at least one handoff for a good gain a couple weeks ago as well. But really I put more blame on the game plan than anything else. I can remember them actually trying to go deep one time, it was just off Adams finger tips. If Lankford is in the game to be your burner then why the **** is he not even given a chance to make an impact? Why did we wait until well into the 3rd quarter to even try and push the ball downfield and loosen up the coverage the riders had on the underneath stuff? Was a loser gameplan by Lapo this week. He expected the Riders would just roll over and let us turn 2-4 yard passes into first downs. Not going to happen against teams not named Hamilton or Edmonton with their PR playing at LB.

Nichols is still massively to the good in his win/loss ration as a Bomber and one poor outing and suddenly everything is horrible. **** sakes people calm the **** down. We almost never win on Labour Day, should be used to the worst possible outcome happening there. They'll pull their heads out of their asses for next week.
