  1. But it's not their oil fund paying for all those thinga. It's being a socialist country.
  2. And a giant tax rate too. Let's not pretend otherwise.
  3. Another 2 cents is that the changes on the ol allowed the run game to be more of a threat and take pressure off the qbs and that coupled with the wake up call got the O in gear. The D was improving before they sat Willy because Hall has shown in his time here that he is willing to tweak things a bit when they aren't working. Said it before, there is more than one factor at work here
  4. Alberta is actually fairly diverse, much moreso than a place like Manitoba. The problem is oil was huge. Like humongous big. It dominated and paid more money than most other industries could match. The Alberta economy before this crash was really overheated. An out of control boom. **** the royalty rate that's a poor argument. We paid low taxes and used oil to fund government instead of taxing people up the ass like norway does.
  5. Let's look at the flip side... 2 losses to calgary who beat everyone, one loss to edmonton with the same record and on in the first week vs montreal.... Seems like maybe the record is what it should be.
  6. It's a turnover league. Win the turn over battle win the game except for rare occasions. Not a qb league. That's the ignorant kind of thinking I'm talking about
  7. What people want is for folks to stop attributing everything to the qb. Hell Willy won against the ticats when the D forced a pile of turnovers too but the haters kept hating on him. You can talk about the play of a quarterback good or bad in wins or losses without the absolute statements some people want to make. Qb is important but it's still just one position
  8. No one wanted you out because you jumped ship, people wanted to highlight your trying to weasel back onto the band wagon and call you out for it. Big difference
  9. that makes back to back games the OL has gotten into the heads of the opponents. When was the last time a bomber team could say that?
  10. I have been very happy with my LG tv, got a decent deal on it and the picture is great, only problem is there's now one dead line of pixels running down the screen that annoys me. It's not bad most of the time but watching something like hockey you notice it against the mostly white background and it's the absolute worst during curling because it's just outside where a normal 4 foot line should be.
  11. Some people just want to rage at the powers that be, plus he's leading a league wide conspiracy against Canada's team, the flagship and cornerstone franchise of the league. He should tread lightly because without the Riders army of unquestionably loyal fans the league would implode in on itself and cease to exist. **** Orridge.
  12. yeah not interested in that, how about they don't mark it up to ridiculousness in the first place?
  13. I always found visions expensive. Truthfully I've seen better deals at best buy when i bought tvs.
  14. Oh come on, it's the Riders, they lose everywhere this year and last.
  15. Honestly I got no problems with them working on a new deal. Would likely include less guaranteed money and more bonuses and Willy probably has the belief that when he gets back in the game, and it'll happen at some point, he can take back the starting job.
  16. Is it really a stretch to think that Willy might have been rushing his deep throws given all the hits he's taken? I mean **** you don't set up properly your throw is going to be tougher to make automatically.
  17. No Bruce came in after Simon had gone to the NFL
  18. That's the most shocking part in all of this. He hates Calgary, as do most of the unwashed masses in Saskatchewan. Jealous is what they are. Better city, better province, better football teams, and they all have to come live here because their own stink towns have nothing for them.
  19. Put a buffet table on the sidelines, it's sure to distract him enough.
  20. if our receivers don't resemble having Milt, Gordon, Bruce, Simon and Edwards out there all at once we riot!
  21. How about because Putting Bond in at guard also means that Neufeld who is a terrible player is out for a much better American and that makes the entire line stronger across the board. Hardrick or Foketi is so much better at RT than Neufeld and Bond is better at guard than Hardrick was there as well. It strengths two positions on the OL and we know that Bryant is a good one and we know that Chungh is capable of being a good one so all of a sudden we got some strength in the position and everything opens up. Nichols provided a spark by not having been beaten down by years of **** kickings behind poor offensive lines but he didn't make those guys play better, changing the ratio made those guys play better and it's making the offense better moreso than a simple change at qb did.
  22. 100% this. They need a good long stretch of this clown show to weed out the band wagon jumpers. They'll be a lot more tolerable as a fan base once they learn a bit of humility.
  23. It was the same when Kelly and Murphy were here too. We axed a lot of players and had a revolving door trying to replace them all season. Big FA qb Lefors cut to play how many different guys at qb the rest of the year? I really think Murphy is showing himself to be a guy who can do some scouting and find some players, but he needs a good strong GM over top of him to keep him from going full *****. Mike Kelly and Chris Jones are too impatient and egotistical to reign him in and it's just a clusterfuck.
