Why do I have to pick and choose where they find talent? The good teams that maintain their success in this league bring in talent at all positions and then they have tons of options in how they build the roster. Not to mention that when injuries hit it is a hell of a lot easier when you got a guy on the PR who can step in and contribute than not having that depth. This team is in a point where we don't have to settle for "OK" time to take the step to perennial contenders, and to do that you need to bring in all sorts of players at every position that are worth while. Calgary is plug and play because of it, time for the Bombers to be the same way.

They ha e, but both signed as free agents after time with other teams. We need our own pipeline of talent. Can't do everything in free agency.
-
Neither one has done enough in the CFL to be called anything yet, the fact that names like that are the best we can bring up in 4 years of Kyle Walters is pretty much the entire argument that he's sucked the big one at finding receivers.

are we doing past #55s?

only if George RR Martin wrote it for them. Before Game of Thrones the biggest thing these two had done was Troy and I saw Troy..... Not excited.

Totally understandable, however might I suggest simply pushing Pederson in front of that semi instead? The life of one vs. the lives of many. It really is a no brainer. In fact it might make you a modern day hero.

CONSPIRACY! The haters are just trying to slander Carter's good name. He goes to church every Sunday, he helps little old ladies cross the street and you will never find a finer example of a human being anywhere.

Leggett is just such a key part of this team, never envisioned a world where he didn't re-sign here.
-
Darvin Adams was brought here through FA, so was Dressler, so we get another couple FAs in here then yeah it's pretty much the entire group brought in via free agency. Hell even JFG and Coates were brought in as free agents. Just so tired of always needing to rely on free agents to get receivers. Walters ain't done a good job bringing in receivers.
-
You can't build your entire receiving corps through free agency. Kyle Walters needs to get his **** together and bring in some depth from outside the CFL.
-
only way you sign bowman is if you are willing to throw the ball to him roughly 50 times a game.
-
Well I dunno about the movie but Emilia Clarke is probably going to ruin this thing anyway. Awful, awful actress.
-
I have no doubts that Leggett will recover, my only question is how long does it take.

TIL people thought Leggett hurt his knee.... was obvious as soon as it happened it was achilles and that's a tough ******* injury to come back from.

Vince McMahon considers move to bring back the XFL

I mean there's already (apparently) a huge following for e-sports and the koreans dominate it so yeah, that's the future being talked about here... and I have no use for that. -
Oh god please no.

honestly a new football league could probably work, the key though is to start small and grow naturally, but I don't think anyone has the patience for that these days or to lose the money it would require. -

I think you hit the nail on the head with the comment about college sports. They're too big and they serve as the not NFL football fix for most people. -
oh these egos that some of these chuckle heads have...

The simple fact of the matter is that unless you are the cream of the crop as a football player there is always going to be someone younger and cheaper and just as good as you looking to take your job, and they're going to get it by being cheaper than you are. It's a numbers game, there are a metric assload of players coming out of the NCAA every year all looking for professional work and just not that many professional positions available.
-
What if they do go with Santos L. Halper as the middle linebacker? With Wild at Wil... would that make people happy? Is Knox stilla round? I seem to remember people thinking he might be suited to the middle linebacker role. Or is this a case of the only acceptable solution for the position is an outside solution since it left such a bad taste in people's mouths last year?

Silly players not understanding that a team held option for a second year isn't a one year contract, it's a two year contract unless the team decides that they don't want you again. Swear to god these guys must have useless agents who don't explain things, or they're dumber than a bag of rocks and don't care to understand what they're signing up for.
