This past Sunday obviously cause we sent em home crying. Hope they enjoy their offseason very much. -
I believe Mosca was the connection there.

Just do what we did last time we faced calgary. -
well colour me surprised. ******* like that I was sure would protect himself.
-
Does that include Jones himself or did he just make everyone else take a cut?
-
You clearly are under estimating the Rider fans base and it's ability to blow smoke up their own asses. No matter who they get in the offseason they will have the best qb situation going and perhaps can trade their backup or even 3rd stringer for a couple Canadian starters.
-
I can see Montreal at least jumping on either Collaros or Lulay to start, perhaps even Toronto if Ray calls it a career. Hell BC too might need one of them to start. If the Esks lose Reilly it's either Glenn or one of those guys. Quarterback is not a strong point in the CFL right now,

Didn't the Bombers wind up benching him a bunch cause he was undisciplined against the run? Seems to me the Bombers put up a hell of a lot of yards on the ground so I guess there's something to that.
-
Look around the league at the quality of backup qbs, and even starters in some places... you think those guys won't get a chance even being as broken as they are?
-
Not the Riders, their fans. Honestly I don't give a **** about the team except that I like watching them lose because I know it kicks the ant hill over there and causes their annoying fans to scurry about in a panic.
-
why are we so blessed?
-
The Bombers D won't get the credit they deserve, too many years of soft coverage people won't look at what they're actually doing this season.
-
well at least something went right for you on the day.
-
anyone who is a fan of football should be a fan of the CFL. I strongly believe that our rules are far superior to American rules.
-
Patty Neufeld had a bee in his bonnet all game long, it was a beautiful thing to see. He was planting guys on their asses all day.
-
and even then we aren't exactly hurting at that linebacker position. Better to have the capable back up qb than another piece at linebacker when we're already pretty strong there.
-
I think they thought that Bridge could be that guy based on what happened for them last season. Bridge won them a bunch of games off the bench last season. Now that works when you yank Glenn and put in a totally opposite style since Bridge runs well, but when both Collaros and Bridge are running guys you don't get that same change of pace and it's easier for the defense to keep doing the same things to make it work. It's why switching between Bridge and Watford (or whatever his name is) doesn't work as well as when the Bombers sub Streveler in for Nichols.

Challenging PI is always a gamble with the CFL replay officials so I don't blame O'Shea for not challenging that, it was a BS call for sure. Anyway he probably figured they still had a lead, get the ball back to the offense and they'll take care of the rest. It all worked out because by that point in the game the Bombers were taking complete control anyway.
-
honestly I can see them moving Nichols before Streveler

This game is what happens when one team is a unit that works together and no one cares about stats vs. a team of selfish individuals who just want to pad their own stats.

What? Ricky Ray got a look in the NFL and compared to him BLM has a rocket. Now granted it was a long time ago Ray got his shot but still. BLM has enough of an arm.
-
Watching it again this morning really seems like having both players come in at the same time helped get Jeffcoats head higher which led to the helmet to helmet. In no way shape or form do I see that as intentional, just hugely unfortunate that it wound up like that.
-
This, I think I can remember one pass that didn't go to one of Roosevelt or Williams Lambert. Bridge clearly had one read and then ran.

The Bombers really didn't have any need to run up the score. They played such a safe game offensively it really made it closer than it was. They knew the only chance the Riders had was if the Bombers turned the ball over so they just put the focus on that and when the game was nearing the end they just took the ball and rammed it right down the Riders throats on the ground. Was a thing of beauty.
