Nichols showed some signs of getting things back in track, there were just the odd mistakes that derailed it again. Plus he wasn't helped when the returners coughed up a couple either. Switching QBs in that game I don't think would have changed the outcome much. The offense was out of sync from the get go and it wasn't all Nichols.

Most of Nichols ints he just flat out over threw his target badly. One I would say 2 receivers were too close so they likely ****** that up.

That's what gets me.... Hamilton bad vs th run and Winnipeg a great running team... so of course lapo comes out throwing. He is the God damned dumbest smart coach out there.

So something to consider about Matthews.... He's playing a lot of slot this time right? And he's been a WR the whole time in the CFL previously correct? Now throw in the fact that he was hurt all of training camp this just looks like typical Bombers easing guys in slowly when they have the opportunity to do so. Lawler playing well so don't rock the boat.

That being said, the guy they did get (he's the guy from silicon valley right?) is a pretty good choice too.

Ok but matthews was a key contributor to the grey cup champions last year... he has been hurt this year, not really any different than what happened to bighill. The bar room brawl doesn't appear to be a big issue for the coaches so it shouldn't be a big issue for us either.

I should clarify, yes I liked his punt returning, I was just let down by the speed cause I was expecting to see it showcased with all the talk.

I might argue that the special teams are just as key... but that is what sets Winnipeg apart from everyone else so far this year.... all facets are doing their jobs. Special teams are winning the field position battle, d isn't giving up many majors and the offense is putting the ball in the endzone. Sounds like a winning formula to me.

I was let down watching Walker on returns. He certainly didn't look fast like Lucky does, but maybe he just didn't have the openings. I would probably rather have someone quick than fast. Charles Robert's was never fast, but man was he quick and he got a lot of yards because of it.

but I read on Rider fans this morning that there was a lot of parity this year and no real good teams... I think they're confused because they're afraid of the realization that there is a good team in the league and they're more in line with the losers than the actual good teams.
