Either the White House is so stupid they don’t realize removing trump elevates pence to president or they’re really, really worried about Pence....

Trump goes down then Pence is next one to face impeachment. There is plenty of evidence to incriminate him regarding Ukraine and lots of Trump's other crimes. The GOP will do whatever they can to keep the dominoes from falling so there isn't a President Pelosi.

There's a "Crawford Steel" which trades on the NYSE and appears to be the parent company of the Canadian from their website and created by Spiegel.  Anything traded as a security needs to file financials, and the cash flow does not look good.  Lots of assets, not a lot of cash coming in.

    From Crawford Steel's website:

Should this be in the airline thread now?

Not suspicious at all.....hmmmm I saw some people noting the video of the crash had a lot of flames for a mechanical issue.  Anti aircraft fire?

If you were in charge of things in Iran, would you trust a major US defense contractor to tell the truth about the findings? What's needed is a neutral third party that both sides would trust to do the investigation.

Randy Ambrosie is honestly a ******* joke. Just read the Walters interview where he said that as it was explained to him at the beginning of 2019, the NFL window would allow you to let players (Kongbo, as an example) try out and sign with NFL teams even if they weren’t on an expiring deal.

Now the rules change after the season and after we spend a first round pick on him?

That should be a major point of contention for any GM in the league. Ambrosie is doing an awful job for the league at this point, but hey at least we’re gonna be able to put some guy from Finland that nobody’s ever heard of on our roster this year, even though he’s not fit to carry a ball bag.

Not a good example. He wouldn't have signed if he couldn't pursue NFL interest.

    Quote

"When we selected Jonathan in (the) CFL draft, he chose to sign with our organization rather than wait a season to continue training," Bombers GM Kyle Walters said in a statement at the time. "This agreement came with the understanding that if he received any NFL interest, we would work with him to help him pursue those interests."

Nice to have that clarified, dressing 3 Qb being now an option is nice but really for a teams future how do you not try to groom a future Qb in that spot?

He said on the roster, not on the active roster. Teams can only have 2 QBs dressed on game days.

  5. I thought assistant coaches don't work year round or has that changed since that drama in Saskatchewan when Corey Chamblin ordered his staff to report earlier than their contracts said and Craig Dickenson refused. Could it be possible that they are waiting for the coaches to report back to the team?

If there's anyone who knows about legal disbursements, it's probably Trump. The guy has had to pay so much to settle lawsuits, bankruptcies, divorces, judgements against him, etc.

I doubt he knows what a disbursement is since he's being sued by a bunch of law firms for not paying his bills.

O'Shea has had a lot of celebratory moments in his career but I would wager none will be as sweet as this one.

During the game they said they asked O'Shea (paraphrasing here) about winning the Grey Cup as a player and assistant and whether winning as HC would be the best. He replayed that it's always better as a player.

what the letter doesn't say and why the base salary is a separate total is that those players that sign a contract to play will begin getting paid $1,040 US on 12/4/2019 and will continue to get paid that every week they are with their team thru the first week of May... so, even if you're a training camp bust you're still walking away with some coin in your pocket...

also, if you play on a team that goes 5-5, with weekly roster bonus and win bonus you are looking at $55,000 US for the 10 week season if you are on the roster for every game, whether you played or not...

the letter does not address playoff bonuses either, which could include up to 3 more games, you can see a player making $80,000 US for their efforts...

another thing left out of the letter, partly because it doesn't apply to this player, is that QBs are paid much higher... I believe that $450,000 US is the cap amount set for this position, well within CFL pay range for 'normal' QB signings...

plus, there is a $4,000,000 US salary cap per team, so even if you pay your QB top dollar there is still $68,269 US available, on average, to distribute among the rest of the signed players... it has been said that those with prior NFL/CFL experience can sign contracts that exceed the 'minimum' base pay, which makes sense and is validated by the cap amount per team...

so, convert that to Canadian dollars and you have a first year guy making almost $80,000 playing for a .500 team, far better than the league minimum for an ELC in the CFL... oh, let's not forgot that this pay is for a 10 game schedule, not 18 games... huge difference when you break down the per game value, almost a $75,000 difference...

Vince is trying to do what the CFL has done, come up with a salary that makes the league viable and affordable while paying a player a decent amount while allowing them to continue their professional dreams... sure, we can all scoff at him and make jokes about it, but, those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones...

You have to be on the active roster for those bonuses.

isn't the entire cast being burned for that? the only good things I'm hearing about is the song that Taylor Swift contributed

They have already sent out an edited version of the movie to theaters.

In my opinion (or I’m just guessing) this isn’t really the intent of this question... of course the superstars in the nfl would be superstars in the cfl... I think he was wondering what secondary/mid level guys would excel in the cfl...

Not necessarily. We've seen in the past how some top NFL players were absolute duds in the CFL.

BLM hasn't been the same for a couple years. I don't know that he's ever gonna be 100% ever again and not worth the money that some crazy team would pay him. I don't want us to be the ones to overpay. Nichols/Collaros at 400k vs BLM at 700+? I'll take our guys thanks...

Dickenson doesn't agree with that. He's said a number of times that he felt BLM was playing the best football of his career after he came back from his injury.

  12. From TSN dated Nov 25, 2019:

    Quote

TSN’s CFL Insiders Dave Naylor and Farhan Lalji reported over Grey Cup Weekend that while the team has Evans under contract for the next two seasons and Masoli is a pending free agent, the Ticats want both QBs back in the fold next season.

“Hamilton is set with Dane Evans. He has two years left on his contract at a reasonable number so that’s a very good situation for the Ticats going forward,” Naylor said. “They would like to have Jeremiah Masoli back. He started the season as their No. 1 quarterback, had an ACL injury at the end of July, and not 100 per cent certain when he’ll be ready to play, but the Ticats want him back in the fold. They believe this is a two-quarterback league.”

I totally think Popp was fired over Collaros. He wouldn't admit that he made a mistake and wouldn't trade him, getting something in return.

In the end, it cost him his job and Pinball made the smart move to trade him. I don't think it had anything to do with MOS and just trying to get something from nothing.

I disagree. Does this sound like a guy who wanted to wash his hands of Collaros:

    Quote

“He needs that opportunity to be put in that position where he can play a game that matters and we get a draft choice for that. If he happens to do well there and stay there then we get a number one in addition to that,” Clemons said on 620 CKRM radio in Regina.

“But we do have a pretty good feeling that he wants to be in Ontario. So it’s a little bit like a hired gun. We believe and desire to sign him back. We have a really good chance in the off-season of securing him back.”
