I don’t think it’s the contract amount that is at issue, he was the least needed of our OL free agents. Eli is already on the roster and better at centre. With Bryant, Gray/Dobson, Eli, Neufeld and Hardrick/Richmond we have the best O-Line on the league and have better protection for Zach than we had before. That $50 or 60k over a rookie developmental is needed for other players.

Not true, if you go to the original KP Facebook post they comment that it is going in the building with Qdoba and the under construction nail salon. Last spring while my MIL was in Seven Oaks we ate at the McPhilips location a few times. Pizza and salads are good but the rest of the menu falls a little flat. I have a hard time seeing this be a full concept location given the old Fast Fired location they are going in too. I hope success for all locals but this one makes me wonder…

I'm not sure the format but possibly even an allowance for certain % increase for increases after the first 3 years. 5% /year for the next three, 7.5% for years 7 to 9 or some other sort of escalator.

I think the front office cap should have an adjustment specifically for longevity. As must as the Naturalized Canadian Rule is confusing it provides an incentive for staying with the same time longer, the same should happen for staff that stay with teams for a long period of time.
