Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
I have played sports and I have a pretty good memory. No one would suggest Wally B or Don Matthews are Suzy Sunshine's and they are two of the top coaches ever in the CFL. Players tend to tune out folks who only say nice things just like they tune out folks who yell at them all the time. Players don't need a cheerleader. They need someone who they can trust to tell them the truth. Huffer and Austin know this. Hopefully O'Shea does too. Leaders aren't the guys who only say nice things. They are are the ones who always 'Do the right things'.

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
Not to beat a dead horse (although I'd love to)... but isn't that what a leader SHOULD be doing? cc: Tim Burke Nope. Being Suzy sunshine doesn't win games or influence people.

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
MOS speaks highly of every player he wants or is on the team.

Poll - who has more wins ? Winnipeg or Ottawa?
Having a quality QB in the CFL trumps a lot of problems, but I still can't see Ottawa ending up with more wins than Winnipeg unless Willy turns out to be the next Goltz/Elliott/Brink/Hall/AnyWpgQBInTheLast5Years.

Burke
I surprised to see that some folks think that saying nothing but positive things is leading. It's not. Leaders need to be able to sell the dream. Present a plan. Get buy in. Be honest with everyone (Not just sunshine and rainbows). Ensure everyone takes personal responsibility. Show they are on the right track. Progress towards the shared goal. Burke failed at all of them, except the honesty part, and folks around here are raking him over the coals for that. Face it folks. We didn't have the talent on the field, in the coaching staff or in management. Replacing a HC mid -season, especially when his team finally showed a little something in a game is a bad idea. Taking on a job you know you are doomed to fail at out of a sense of responsibility is both dumb and somewhat heroic as is being honest to a fault.

Not sure why anyone's reacting to this. Other than the 'I didn't really want the job' line, it's the same things Burke said when he was the HC.

CFL's 10 players to keep an eye on in 2014

CFL cuts
I'd take a healthy Richardson over Bryant any day of the week. Unfortunately, he's not healthy. I'd wait a while and then bring in Richardson for a look see.

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
If Bryant is an upgrade over any of out Import receivers, we're in trouble.

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
I hope we don't bring him in, and I love experienced guys.

CFL cuts
Because he's on the PR, not a FA?

Oh those Eskimos
I think it's a poor decision that will alienate the media and that's something you really don't want to do when your team isn't a powerhouse. I thought the league dictated who had access to the locker room, but I guess not. Grab the popcorn and lets see how this plays out.

Preseason QB Totals
Preseason QB stats mean about as much as preseason records do. In other words, not much at all.
-
Maher in Ottawa
Close, but not quite. Carrying a NI kicker means and extra DI, not an extra starting Import.

CFL cuts
Wow, too many shots to the head, Jamel? Not a smart decision. I'm guessing the guaranteed $ aren't anywhere near the starting contract $. I'd take Jamel in a minute once he's healed even though it means pushing Watson out of the slot.

Ottawa @ Montreal
Angus Reid, Ben Archibald are big losses.

CFL cuts
RT .@PoppJim @MoeKhan19 let's set record straight. Jamel made his own decision 2 B let go. We offered guaranteed $ & rehab, he opted out.
-
Ottawa @ Montreal
What worries me is how easily Calgary's starters made us look like last years team, and how bad they looked against BC.
-
Maher in Ottawa
Maher looked bad in the pre-season game. Missed a FG and put a kick off out of bounds. Not surprising that he was cut, but it is surprising that they don't have any kickers left.

CFL cuts
Yes to Peach. No to Jade.
-
Ottawa @ Montreal
Looks like Smith should have played last week. He's pretty damn rusty.
-
QB Kolton Browning
Hall outplayed Brohm in game 1. Brohm outplayed Hall in game 2. Neither look like CFL starters to me and I hope we don't have to use either of them this year, but I bet we will have to. A new QB at this time of year doesn't make any sense. 6 weeks ago it would have made a lot of sense. I'm guessing Hall is on the way out and the new guy comes in on the PR as #4.

QB Kolton Browning
The end of Hall? Marve won't take the PR? A new QB at this time of the year is pretty weird. You'd think they'd want a new QB to go through TC etc..

CFL cuts
Hickman is a hell of player, but I think management is pretty happy with Vega and Peach on the ends. Hickman is way better than Peach IMHO.
