  1. More stuff you make up just to complain about. FTR: I never surprises or hurts me when folks make stuff up or complain about my posts.
  2. Twice in one game? Nope, that's not the sign of a good QB having a great game.
  3. This thread started when folks said how great Nichols played. If you read those posts, you'd think that we'd just routed the Riders or even a good team like the Stamps. None of the negatives were mentioned and folks got upset that I dared to even mention the other side of the story. It quickly went from complaining about things I didn't say to simply complaining about me in general. I let it go until BlueAndGold84 & BigBlue204 started it back up by quoting a day old post. Hint: Just let it go and don't bring me back in if you don't want to read what I have to say. I get it. You want to make stuff up I didn't say, complain about it and start this all over again. If you read my very first post in this thread you'll see I started with "Nichols had a great 20 minutes last night". I'd call that positive. You'd think we lost by a couple of scores? Really? That's not even possible in OT. If you want to complain about something? How about complaining about how we often start slow or let other teams back into games we should win going away?
  4. O'Shea and Walters are the only coach/GM who have seen Hurl as a starting MLB and they also saw Kuale as a starting MLB.
  5. Of course we might have scored a TD. That's why I said most likely outcome. I'd rather have seen the Riders make that OT FG and us win by scoring a TD so it was our good play rather than the Riders bad play that won us the game.
  6. I don't see the Riders winning even half of their games. They've already let 2 winnable ones get away and I'm fairly certain that they will end up last in the West. But... Either the Riders are no where near as bad as a lot of folks around here think they are or we are no where near as good as those same folks think we are. If their crappy kicker could simply make 'easy' FG's, they'd most likely be 1-0-1, good enough to be tied for 2nd place in the West, which would leave us 0-0-1 and on the bottom. Notes: It doesn't mean everyone else is good and the Bombers are bad. It doesn't mean that I'm unhappy that we won. It doesn't mean that I was unhappy in the 90's when we won big. It doesn't mean that I wonder why folks think I'm negative. It doesn't mean anything at all about all the other QB's in the league. Did I miss any?
  7. I voted for Rein-dolt. Nice guy. Great to talk to. His players loved him. Gave him too much too soon and he imploded. Second in my mind is Zaleski. Historically bad teams. Third would be Kelly. We didn't learn our lesson with Reinebold and gave Kelly full rein. Horrible coach. Horrible to the media and the fans. Immature. Jones .5. Fourth... Tim Burke. I'll never understand why we kept him around for 2013.
  8. He's played 73 CFL games and this is the first time that I've seen him looking like a starting level MLB. 1 game out of 73 doesn't mean that folks were wrong about him before the last Riders game.
  9. I think the slow start is because O'Shea teams generally start slow. It's nothing new and I expect to see a bunch more slow starts this year. Same story with teams coming back on us in the 4th.
  10. Never satisfied with anything? An example of making stuff up that I didn't say just to complain about it. Probably upset back in the 90's? A second thing you made up just to complain about. FTR: I wasn't satisfied with going 17 minutes into the game without a single first down. I wasn't satisfied with the defense giving up 14 and the offense not scoring any points in the last 12 minutes of the 4th quarter. Anyone who was satisfied with those things must have an IV for their blue kool aid. That's because I expect starting CFL QB's to complete passes to wide open receivers.

  12. Kelly never made the playoffs.
  13. Take out Berry (Above .500 and we made the playoffs with him). Add Joe Zaleski.
  14. Jeremiah Johnson
  15. I didn't make it sound like anything of the sort. Not sure why you continue to read stuff that I don't type then complain about it. I chose us to win in the Pick Em's, so no... it doesn't bother me that we won. Not even a little bit. Just another case of you reading something that isn't there then complaining about it.
  16. If your reading comprehension was up to snuff, you'd know what I was really saying was.. Last night's level of play was just good enough to beat the Riders.
  17. Neither team outplayed the other in OT. We just made our FG and they didn't. Nichols averaged about 9 yards a pass except for the one 87 yarder. That's more indicative of the way he played. BTW: 87 yards is the longest in Dressler's career and the longest reception of the young season. And yet so many folks get upset at my opinions. BTW: That quote was from a post about the refs and the C'Mon Center being the only opinion's that matter to play calls, not the fans. Anyone here really think that last night's great 20 minutes of play would be good enough to beat most CFL teams?
  18. Typical Blue Kool Aid chuggers. Only want to look at the good side of the equation. We won ugly. I'll take the 2 points, but 20 great minutes doesn't make the whole game good and we barely won. Nichols got 87 of his 331 yards on a single big play. We beat Regina, the worst team in the league, not one of the good teams. They put up almost 400 yards against us without 2 or 3 of their starting receivers. They won TOP. They came back from 14 down with 12 minutes left in the game. They didn't even have 7 full time NI starters cuz they lost Muamba during the week and they have weak NI's to begin with. They fumbled a KO inside their 10. Maybe one of the stats guys can look back and see how often a team wins when they do that or how often teams win when they turn the ball over 2 more times than the opposition. . Glenn threw deep into double coverage twice. He only got away with it once. He stared down his receiver for an Int with 55 seconds in the half. We got 10 yards and 0 first downs in the first quarter. We didn't outplay them in the 2nd. We didn't get our first drive until less than 3 minutes on the clock and we scored our first TD when 1:04 was remaining in the 2nd. We had a great 20 minutes where we owned them, late in the 2nd through the 3 minute mark in the 4th. We didn't outplay them in the 4th they scored 14 straight points to tie the game up during which time, they kept us off the board. We didn't outplay them in OT. It came down to them missing a short FG, while we made ours.
  19. Riders receivers have some injury issues. Owens on the 6 game. Lost Collins last week. Lost Holley and Demski during the game. Lost Muamba during the week causing them NI problems too.
  20. The other 72 CFL games he played in had an entirely different scheme and no playbook? Nope. Just nope.
  21. Use a VPN (PIA) and virus software (BitDefender) (My choices in brackets) and you won't get hit with ransom ware. I store my personal data in the cloud (More than one place for each piece of data) after my computers and USB's were all stolen at the same time.
  22. The Riders might not be as bad as most around here think they are. If their crappy kicker could make FG's from inside the 35, they'd most likely be 1-0-1 right now.
  23. I'm not saying Nichols stunk or that we'd be better off without him. I'm saying that you can't just ignore his bad play, like the entire first quarter, when you analyze how well he did.
  24. Nichols should have tossed 6 TD's last night. He missed 2 wide open receivers who were behind the defense.
