sadly...I doubt he will.....again....and be our demise...Walter's so far has literally set him up with a no fail plan, but If there a way...I sure Osh will mess it up...TBD....And I say that as history has shown us that...over and over

Hi, I'd like to introduce you to Mike O'shea. Head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

That's fair. He was also a part of one of the worst defenses in the league. 3 years ago this is a solid signing. History tells us that Wilson will not be a special teamer and that the two LBs they drafted will be kept at the bottom of the depth chart....at least that's what I'm worried about.

Really going to miss Schoen on the Bombers, it was a treat getting to watch him play when he was fully healthy.   Always going to be a big what if.   If he could have stayed healthy I think he could have turned into one of the greats. Dumb decisions to play him injured, and man the guy took a pounding after the catch on some less than stellar passes.

I for one,wouldnt mind Strevy back ,in some capacity. 

He may very well be a shitty coach too. There's always a flip side. He never earned that position. He was given it. 
I guess I'm tired of the entitlement this team has for Osh favourites. I'd have preferred Thomas go coach junior or CIS & gain experience. Maybe move up to DC & then come back to the CFL in 5-7 years

For me, it's nothing personal against Jake The Person. I know that he's is a nice guy. I'd probably like him if I ever met him.
Unfortunately, it has everything to do with Jake The Player & now Jake The Coach. Thomas was given the starting DT position for years much to the detriment of the team. Starting Thomas blocked development for younger guys who needed to play.. When he did play, it usually was sub standard & not up to the level we needed. 
Now he's been given the DL coaching position by the same head coach who has been gifting him everything for years. Hard not to see the entitlement. That's on Osh for creating that stigma. 
 

For what our dline coach has to do really I guess he will be fine...With vets like Lawson..WJ and hopefully a Ceresna they dont need Thomas' tutelage..as there is nothing he could offer them...and any young guy can get things passed on by them too
The x and o part will come from Younger anyway...and some from Stanley...Thomas will add nothing there...it was essentially a mercy hire that won't make or break our season...was still dumb tho...and a slap in face of any up an coming coach in the CIS ranks or NCAA who has been putting in the work

Unless O'Shea has had an on-the-road-to-Damascus epiphany, he is most likely to play non-pets in minor and/or losing situations so as to try to discredit them, then do an I-toldyaso riff. All passive-aggressive stuff.
For some reasom, you are confusing a realistic assessment of Thomas as ineffective and an obatacke to developing younger, better players. with hatred for him. So far as I am aware, he has not eaten any puppies or beaten up any orphans, but am willing to be proven wrong in that regard.

I really think a proper OL is going to make a world of difference for ZC...

MOS says its a downgrade but he'll learn to live with it.

He was better/adequate but not worth having him around over Castillo.

Honestly having Streveler here on IR and basically interning as a coach would be a pretty smart move.  Kind of thing an organization with cash to leverage should be doing.

Why do people get so pissed off when a reporter floats a story?? It's speculation. That's all that it is. It's a ctually great when someone from Sportsnet talks CFL in January.

I agree on Castillo. Kicking is huge in the CFL and Castillo performs up to his contract. Those are the type of contracts we need to keep. 

Liegghio was lucky that kick was blocked in the 2022 Grey Cup because he missed it anyway. It saved him the embarrassment of having to explain that he choked once more under pressure. Castillo has been money for us since & now some fans think he's just some kind of overpriced kicker that should be replaced by some random rookie player. From a place like Italy or Japan because he costs too much. The guy has kicked 3 field goals of 60 yards or more. 

He seems like a waste of an American spot honestly. I’m not sure I’d bring him back. I’d draft a guy and probably draft a global guy who can do all 3. Seems like better use of the roster. I’d bring in 5 or 6 guys who can do all 3 honestly and keep the best 2. 1 on the PR. Again if you gonna go American there dude needs to do all 3. Sergio can but doesn’t. If he does all 3, bring him back to compete but no guarantees there. Kickers are a dime a dozen like receivers and defensive ends should be.
