It's unfortunate that the riders are such a sad sack organization that their fans don't know what a good football team actually looks like.

I guess it is too bad that the bombers could hardly beat a bad team with the most dominant team they have had since I started watching the CFL. What does that say about how good this bombers team is?

This doesn’t even make sense, but it was a good attempt.

haha these guys are classic with there comebacks. It is like talking to kids in grade 2

I'd say the online..were better than anyone...Edam is crap...deal with it...beat way too often to be a top anything....purifiy played decent...but yaps more than needed and is usually good for dumb penalties...must be hangry some games lol

How many playoff games won tho...1...and it was lucky too

Purifoy has hardly taken any penalties. I dont think he has taken one this year. might need to check your facts. And for being crappy Edem has done a good job of being a starter in the league for 6/7 years.

Hardly ratio changer at safety ...and u guys say all-star nods are bs as u guys got snubbed...so that claim holds zero weight

Booch just admit it we have some dudes that are some good players. It okay you dont know everything about football and have said some really stupid stuff on here about the riders.

And none of those players are going to the Grey Cup. How does that happen!

Because they got beat by a very good team. I am not saying the riders are better then the bombers all i am saying is the riders are a good team. They won 10 games and fought through a ton of injuries nad other stuff. All i am pointing out is that you guys seem to have a inability to admit that.

The season we dominated..as per any reporter and knowledgeable fan in league duffus...why u even posting here anyway??... Dearborn and Edam are not great...the others..who?? Like those are total exuses...

According to you Purifoy also sucks but he was probably the second best player on the field behind harris. Also AC leonard is a "Non factor" but led the league in sacks with missing 3 games. Edem is one of the better canadian safeties in the league and replacing a starting canadian is hard, they seemed to it pretty good. So i excuse me for not really trusting your player evaluation.

So lets recap the head to head between this 2 supposed even teams, 3 games played Rider scored 34 points, Bombers scored 77 points winning all three and more importantly todays game. I think we know who the better team is

I am not sure any body would say the bombers aren't the better team. What I am saying is the riders are actually in fact a good team, which seems like a big thing to admit. And they also have overcame a lot this year including injuries which is a fact. Its possible for the riders to be a good team and the bombers to be better.

  6. Just now, Booch said:

Just cause guys are hurt dowsnt mean they better...we had to replace guys too...kicker..backup QB...2 dbacks...and still dominated...Harris..Adams..Demski...stove..Wilson all missed time and we were still 11 and 1...that's depth my friend

"dominated" you won at the last second. Could have gone either way. Look at how many first year players or starters the Riders had on the field. Ferland, Lauderdale, KSB, Lenius, Clark, Harris, Webb, Lanier, Woodard, Robertson, Deaborn, Adams, ,Picton and the riders are way more inexperienced then the bombers.

Add in guys like Larry Dean, Mike Edem Terran Vaughn, Deaborn, Tietz, gary Johnson who are injured and would have made a difference. I am not making a excuse for injuries I am just pointing out the fact that this is fact a pretty deep team that is talented. Which goes against your pick of us finishing last in the west at the start of the year.

  7. 2 minutes ago, Booch said:

You are...dirty tactics in first half...6 turnovers and a gift non p.i as well as a no catch ...and still couldn't seel it...if parades didn't stink joint out u wouldn't even been here...just accept it..

What dirty tactics? More like alexander taking a head shot on fajardo.

well according to you our team is aboslutely trash, has no depth, we have 17 guys on the 6 game list. We have won 10 games this year and took you guys to the last possession. so if we are trash what does that say about the bombers?

I am not saying the bombers are bad they are a really solid team. The reality is the riders are a good team and played to their potential this year. It would be nice to have a honest conversation on here and not just straight up lies.

  8. 1 minute ago, Booch said:

The non factor Harris...woukd make a difference hahahahah...loserville cry all winter now...even with a gift from command center

dude i dont think many people are crying. We played to our potential this year. The amount of injuries and late retirments we had to withstand was incredible. Its just nice to see us come in and have a shot to win it all in the end. Especially considering according to you we are a trash team and had no business being in this game. If thats the case we out played our potential this year.

Can I re-use my offensive post and re-direct it at these two clowns instead? Always ready to pounce and rip the league. How about pointing out all the flaws of their precious MLSE and their complete mismanagement of the Argos and this COVID breach situation? Oh no, because they want so badly for that corporation to get an NFL sniff and cover the “big league” that they ignore the utter disregard for any kind of money or marketing invested in the team they own to build a fan base, and throw stones at the CFL instead.

Anyway, I want to apologize to JCon specifically and the entire board for my earlier post. It was uncalled for and not an acceptable comment in any way. I retract the statement but will not delete it as I should not pretend I did not say it and gloss over it. I am sorry.

Arash's bosses own something like 30-40% of MLSE. Easier to be negative towards the CFL.

Take a look at a geographical map. Farmland is tiny in Manitoba compared to the flatland. Way more combines in Saskyland. Manitoba is mainly rocks, trees and water.

Im not sure how the farming thing even a insult? Like okay I am really offended sitting in my $600,000 combine harvesting on my farm worth 10 million dollars. Have fun living your "civilized" life.

    Sure.

So the waitress lied on site and they had to review the security footage?

well there are cell phone videos already going around. Not of the whole event but you can clearly see Purifoy in a disagreement with the manager and while that is going on a women throws something towards a person behind the bar. Couldnt really make out what it was or what happened but that could have been the assualt.

Also if someone is in a traumatic experience like being assaulted it is possible for that person to not be sure who punched them or be in a little shock. So gettting a story mixed up is not out of the realm of possibilities.

There is security footage for sure and he would not have been released without charges if there was evidence.

  12. 3 minutes ago, Geebrr said:

Yeah that is something that would land you in jail for the night. You don't get detained for being an *******. We have seen that plenty enough times during this pandemic.

Just an innocent bystander, right? Forgive me for being highly skeptical.

You are good at giving the Riders company lines lately.

A guy not involved said Purifoy punched the waitress. Upon further review of security footage that was not the case and he was released.

  13. 1 hour ago, Geebrr said:

There is more to this than being told.

If there was a domestic dispute it is common for one person (let's be honest, the guy) to be detained for the night, but they are not calling it that.

His "friend" got charged with assault. There is definitely more to this story.

But pretty safe to assume he was drinking it up  the night after the playoff game.

The story is he was upset with the service, compained after not getting food for 2 hours and didnt want to pay the bill. A dispute of some sort happened and his girl who was charged punched the waitress and broke a bunch of stuff. He was not charged because he did not do anything illegal.

My favourite is Derek Taylor's QB pressures. That is not an official statistic and he defines what it is. May as well have a "unicorns captured" statistic.

Factor in the fact the Bombers heavily rotate their line, that Richardson missed a bunch of games, our offence stays on the field, and our defence gets off it, still better numbers.

TSN is all over MJ's nuts because that is what they do. (Not) Sorry that we don't all buy into it.

Alford should be rhe ROTY. He will be a CFL All Star playing an incredibly difficult position.

The problem with stats is that they can often be selectively picked to help someone fit their narrative. The qb pressures is an okay stat but like anything else it has its limitations. Probably the best stat to track pass rushing ability is the pass rush win percentage. Tracked by the lineman beating a one on one block in 2.5 seconds or less. Unfortunately no one tracks this in the CFL. But at the end of the day when evaluating players the best thing to do is actually watch the game.

The reality of it is Richardson is a good player, he is very stout against the run and extremely hard to move. You could probably make the argument that he is the best at that. But from my perspective i would take the 3 guys listed in my last post before him. Put him on Sask where he is not playing with willie and jeffcoat and do you think he would pruduce as much? Now put Johnson on winnipeg where he isnt the focus of the blocking schemes and i believe you will see a change in production.

Tell me you are a yappy delusional rider fan without telling me you're a yappy delusional rider fan.

**** this demented  trash taking the form of mental gymnastics from the rectangle Province.

"Micah Johnson is the best DT in the West"

    Hilarious.

I am not delusional, look at my post history I say things as I see them. For instance last week you guys were all up voting me for saying Nichols should have been rookie of the year and was probably the best DB in the CFL. I didn't back it up with stats because it is really hard to evaluate play based off stats. My question for you is if Johnson isn't the best then who is? It wouldnt be the winnpeg guys it would be Ceresna from Edmonton or Rose from Calgary before Sayles, Richardson. It is okay to admit that guys on other teams are good. It doesnt make you less of a fan. Its okay if you guys dont have the two best DTs in the west because you probably have the best D ends. Not every player on your team is best in the league.

    You ain't lying.

Casey Sayles (playing mostly as a back up/rotational guy) :

    14 Games  28 tackles 5 sacks

    (Retired) Micah Johnson:

    12 games 19 tackles 2 sacks

Where the hell is cry baby Derek Taylor now?  They got 2 players selected and neither deserve to be there let alone the three who didn't.

Tell me you dont watch football without telling me you dont watch football. Micah Johnson is the best DT in the west and it isnt really that close. Stats dont tell the picture, he is the focus of the other teams blocking schemes where the winnipeg guys are not with Jefferson and Jeffcoat. The riders have the one and two sack leaders in the CFL in Woodward and Leonard with a lot of that because the inside pressure that the riders get from guys like johnson, marino, and Lanier. We cant compare stats when it fits our narratives for all stars and then as soon as it doesn't we just say "well stats dont tell the whole picture".

This is an excellent point. With the way the CFL has evolved into a 70 - 80% passing league - half back is the most important position on a CFL defense.

Especially to the boundary side. Most teams have two stud players that play the X and S position. Corners and Boundary halfbacks have a big job. If i remember correctly Nichols has had success at both this year.

  18. 4 hours ago, Noeller said:

Matty's point about Lokombo and Lambert getting all the stats because the O was hot steaming dog **** is an accurate one. **** every reporter who doesn't vote Demski for MOC, and to a lesser extent, Alford for MOR....man, I'm angry about this.

Alford should be ROY. He came in and played a premium position and was probably the best player in the league. The problem is the corner isn't a big stats position and  these awards/all stars seem to be based off stats.

An example of this is Nick Marshal. As a rider fan I think he is the worst player in our secondary. He doesn't tackle at all. gives up a couple big plays a game and is good for a 15 yard unsportsmanlike every couple weeks, but he is voted an all star because he does make a decent amount of picks and knockdowns. and thats what the voters look like.
