The problem is, for every player they gained, they seem to have lost one.

They gained Davaris Daniels, they lost SJ Green. They gained Juwan Brescacin, they lost Derel Walker. They gained TJ Jones, they lost Armanti Edwards. They gained Drake Nevis, they lost Cleyon Laing. They gained Tommie Campbell, they lost Jonathon Mincy. They gained Alex Bazzie, they lost Freddie Bishop. They gained Phil Blake, they lost Ryan Bomben. They gained Dariusz Bladek, they lost Sean McEwen.

It's great that they made a big splash but this is literally what happened to Edmonton last year and it didn't net them anything. They've shuffled around a lot of who they spend their dollars on, but I fail to see how they have a better roster today than it was before. That being said - I do think they have some strong areas on their roster, but in addition to all the losses I already mentioned, they still have to find a way to resign Frank Beltre, Davon Coleman, Tobi Antigha, Micah Awe, Jermaine Gabriel and Rodney Smith (or equal replacements)

That’s fair. I guess it comes down to a matter of opinion on who we believe is the better quality player. And I by no mean think they are a good team. But I just don’t believe they have taken a step back. Like I said if the east is still weak they could be a sleeper team claim that last spot and prevent the cross over.

and yet that John Hodge saying the Argos receivers "aren't even fair" with how good they are.......I was confused.

Not really what he said. He said “that hardly seems fair. Suddenly the Argos have arguably the best group of Canadian receivers in the cfl” and he’s not really wrong.

Well up until I wrote that post the additions to the team were Nichols ,  Nevis,  some crap Rider players and a whole lot of nothing.     They took a step back on the o-line and receiver (until now with Daniels).   I don't see any really big improvements by them.  They cut a lot of decent players and haven't really replaced them with much.

So Blake and blazdek, even though they are from sask, they are still capable starters. Then they got tj Jones, brescacin, Daniels, Nevis. For Toronto, this is a huge win for them. Take it easy on them they don’t get wins that often.

well..was 28 when we signed him...not coming off an injury..and playing at highest level...so there is that...and he qb'd a defence that just won a grey cup..is that the same??..haha

let’s split the difference and say he was 29 and never said it was the same. I just don’t think it’s a bad signing.

    Funny how that has changed.

Also funny that he is letting Dennis walk despite that attitude.

    Says something about Dennis.

Shhsss!!! Don’t say anything bad about him! He will come on here and tell you that you are wrong and he’s the best tackle in the league and he does no wrong and the cfl is a cheap league and etc and etc....

See on the twitter feed that SJ Green is in fact signing in the XFL...WTF? Did not see that coming. Seems like an odd choice. To from a legend in one league to a nobody in another. I guess he must be getting a raise?

The guy is 35, has made good money in his cfl and will probably be inducted in the hof up here. Xfl is probably just an opportunity to be close to home and still play.

I'm great, thanks, and the Nichols whining has been performed by lots of others long before now. I haven't really said much about him at all. My post wasn't whining about Nichols. It was a playful jab at the person that made the silly statement that Nichols was twice the QB MBT is. You didn't get that?

    Completion % - Nichols, 71.3     - MBT, 68

    Efficiency - Nichols, 107.2     MBT, 99.3

    Interception % - Nichols, 2.1     MBT, 2.6

Remarkably close and consider that Nichols played on the best team in the league and MBT played on arguably the worst. It could also be argued that Nichols only played in 9 games due to injury and mostly against the weaker teams whereas MBT played 16 games and faced all the tougher teams in the league, including us and Matt Nichols, against whom he won!

I don’t think Nichols is twice the qb MBT is. I actually MBT is the most underrated qb in the league. But my comment was meant as more of a jab at you. Just having some fun.
